Hello , I was looking for a quick update due for the spring break. I texted Tina on Monday, she booked me for Tuesday at 8am. As I entered her establishment at 7:55 , we got started. Tina was pleasant, very personable and welcoming. At about 12:05 I was done, during the sitting I was asked on a few occasions, to “take a look , make sure it’s what you want”? I used pre Stretch number 27. My hair is ready for spring break. Thank you Tina.

I’m new to Tampa, and I was having a hard time finding a braided because Lord knows with these new social media stylist how that can be. I always trust to African Braiding, though, I found Tina’s information on Google as I had already called three others. I called twice, she answered the second time told me she had no availability for the day, but she was available tomorrow and text me the style. I want it. Upon me texting the style I wanted she communicated me throughout efficiently. I had sent my $25 deposit, I was able to meet with her promptly at 6 AM and be done by 1 PM and I love love love my hair. Thank you so much again Tina, YOU ARE MY BRAIDER!!! Pay this woman!!

Theres not enough good things I can say about Tina. When I got there she greeted me with a smile and made me feel comfortable she valued my opinion about my hair and my concerns and she did a fantastic job Ive never been more satisfied. She takes extra time to make sure that you are satisfied. So if you want to go somewhere where you feel comfortable and appreciated and get a wonderful hairdo at the same time Tinas is the place to go hands down.

Very sweet and accommodating woman and very skilled braider who is confident and knowledgeable of her skills. I got traditional braids and Ms. Tina was very helpful throughout the quotation process and the braids are lovely. If you’re serious about getting your hair braided and know what you want and are very easygoing in personality you’ll love Ms Tina. She got the perfect colors I wanted for a fall color palette after we talked and exchanged some reference photos.

Tina is a straight forward person. She is an honest stylist who wants you to have thr best look for your money and hair type. I had my doubts since it was my first time BUT she amazed me and took care of my needs, concerns and accomplished my desired hair style.I came with dried hair. She blew dried it out ( additional fee) and added curly tips to my jumbo knotless. She does clean parts for such a transparent style. The braids are consistent and I would recommend her. It took about 5 1/2 - 6 hrs, but I had a couple interruptions of my own.If you are tender headed like me, just let her know or blow dry and comb out your own hair.Tina is the way!

This was my first time getting braids and Tina was amazing!! I got medium size box braids waist length and they turned out so great, I have been getting multiple compliments a day since I got them. The length and the size are perfect, and I didn’t get any headaches after even though the braids are tight and neat at my scalp and have remained that way for a whole week since I got them. I will definitely be going back for my next braids!!

Mrs. Tina did an AMAZING JOB with my braids.... Her shop is very cozy in which she is the Only beautician. She was very professional, timely, and personable. Its been a month since I have gotten my hair done and the braids are still holding up. ( My hair is very short). I apologize for not posting pics but I am camera shy! The first time I got beautiful box braids and this time I wanted crotchet braids but combining 3 different colored hair and Tina delivered! On 8/1/21, I decided to cut my dreadlocks (3.5 years), and did a big chop. I searched online and found the reviews from multiple platforms that made the decision for choosing Tinas African Hair Braiding. I contacted Tina on Monday 8/2/21, and was able to schedule, book, and completed my hair appointment for Kinky Twist for Saturday 8/6/21. Tinas prices are affordable and realistic, as well as great quality work. One of my concerns was Tina not being able to braid my hair due to the length, but thank goodness she specializes in short hair. I am beyond happy with my results, which took about 6-7 hours of time, and constantly being complimented by peers. Tina appears shy at first, but she is a kind individual and loving mother (so I found out). This was my first time at Ms. Tina’s salon as I’m new to Florida.To be honest I was blown away by her customer service, utmost respect and the integrity she displayed. I got the boho box braids. She worked on my hair for hours (with no breaks) - in the past, I’ve dealt with unprofessional Braiders that’d leave you there for mins to hours to go and eat, feed their kids and whomever else. For this reason, I stopped getting braids. HOWEVER, Ms Tina has restored my faith in the Hairbraiding experience.Her workmanship is top notch. I wanted very small braids and she delivered. They were neatly partitioned and my hair was full as I desired.
