If you’re looking for someone new or are hesitant to get a curly cut, I highly recommend getting one from Meg because she is absolutely amazing. She is very careful and involved in everything from before to even after the appointment. She also goes into detail and talks through each step and is very intentional and focused with what she asks, does, and teaches. I haven’t had a curly cut in years and I decided to give her a try and it was worth every penny. Meg is truly a master at her craft and I am absolutely in love with my results.

Meg was very professional, thorough in her questionnaire prior to meeting with me and quick with her replies to book my curly cut. I really felt like she genuinely wanted to get to know my curly hair journey to see how she could help transform my curls. She EXCEEDED my expectations from the moment I entered her salon; she greeted me with a smile, filtered water and got down to business. My entire experience with Meg was top notch. She’s very professional and passionate about curly hair education, services and maintenance.I’m relatively new to embracing my suddenly curly hair in the last two years. To be honest I came to Meg feeling frustrated. I had overloaded myself with videos and playing around with curly products. Highly recommend! The experience is unmatched. Meg is so personable its as if youve been friends forever. She was so knowledgeable and honest. I didnt feel like she was trying to sell me. I appreciated her time and expertise. Her method of dry cutting curly hair is on point! Im a hands on learner and the fact that she offers a kinetic experience proves its more than just cutting hair for her. I absolutely had no idea what to do with my hair before coming to Curl Alchemist. My hair was super frizzy, felt dry, was not reacting to any of my normal products anymore, and was beginning to break due to lack of hydration. My faith in ever getting my curly locks back was completely gone. I went and seen Meg and she told me exactly the type of damage to my hair, my styling issues, and a long term plan to restore my curls with my very active lifestyle. I was able to ask her ANY questions I had about my specific curl type, what to use, and how to style it. When she finished my hair, I was so surprised at the look of my curls. In just one session, she had made my hair look better than it had in months! I have trauma with going to get my hair cut because I have had so many bad experiences. I have been told not to go to places that cater to curly hair, because my hair is not curly enough, it is wavy. My experience with Meg was amazing. My curls had been destroyed from a hair salon secretly relaxing my hair (relaxer in the conditioner). This was devastating for me, as I have worked for years to maintain healthy and chemical free curls. I knew I had to do the big chop, and this was daunting for me. Meg talked me through it, made me comfortable, suggested new products for my hair, and gave me a better chop that I could have hoped for. I found her profile on instagram when looking for a curly hair specialist and loved her work and objectives. A must for curlies and wavys in Tampa!! Visited Meg for the first time a couple weeks ago. I did the gold package which included the cut and consultation, product review, styling session, etc. So glad I went for it. There was an immediate improvement just on the cut, which was done on dry hair and we hadnt even gotten to styling. I appreciated that Meg asked questions about my current styling routine, the products I use and my hair goals. She listened to my concerns about needing an uncomplicated routine. Her styling method and product recommendations were spot on and by the third wash & style, I was able to replicate the style we created in her salon. That rarely happens for me!!! Now that Im seeing how much more curl potential my wavy hair has, Im excited to continue this journey with Meg and see what happens. Highly recommend!!

I have been following Meg on her IG for a while quietly enjoying her posts of her current work. I finally took a leap of faith and reached out to her with my hair concerns. I ended up showing up at her salon on the wrong day and still Meg gave me a few minutes after she was done with her prior client to evaluate my hair and discuss my concerns. Her evaluation and given recommendations were right on point!!! My hair has never been happier, and so am I. Her hair and products knowledge go beyond any experience I’ve had with other stylists in the past, and still she continues to educate herself on all things curly. Meg is very laid back, understanding, and yet super knowledgeable. Her salon space is very welcoming, with tones of essential oils in the air, clean, and very well laid out. Her branding is very consistent throughout her studio, and website. Her appointment policy is precise and clear, and the online scheduler is very convenient. I drove 1.5 hours to see her and it was well worth my trip. If you’re in the proximity of Dobbs Ferry I highly recommend Meg!

Meg did such a wonderful job with my hair. Ive gotten a handful of good curly cuts, but this is the first that I really felt compelled to write a review. I truly felt taken care of, from beginning to end. I loved that she was the only one cutting, washing, and styling, and she talked me through what she saw in my hair at each step. She really knows what she is talking about. Service was stellar, and even got a small gift bag with some samples after which really made it that much more special. Let me start by saying I am a kinky curly girl. I was so nervous and excited about my first curly cut. Meg is an amazing 1 woman show and she genuinely cares about the health of your hair. She took her time with every section of my hair and truly cared about my wants as well as my hair needs. She took her time explaining my curl type, porosity, and styling tips. Meg teaches you how to independently care for your hair instead of making you dependent on a stylist. Worth the wait and worth every penny. My new curly hair stylist for sure!!

Meg is an amazing cosmetologist. I began my curly journey with her after about a year of giving up keratin treatments. She was patient with my desire to keep length while growing out the damage from processes, and aftermonths of learning about new products, gaining confidence in styling and having enough new growth to remove the remaining damage, I gave her the green light to work her magic and cut whatever she felt needed to go. A few inches later and I couldn’t be happier. My hair looks and feels great. With Meg’s knowledge and expertise I know my hair (and my relationship with it) will only continue to improve as long as I continue to listen and learn from her.
