    Victoria is incredible. She takes the time to understand her clients needs and is always transparent about the process. It always feels like such a collaborative effort. She has completely transformed my hair, and I have never felt more authentic with a style.     I cannot recommend Cameron enough. She walked me through not only how she was gonna cut my hair but even taught me how to properly wash my hair type. By the end of it she did such a wonderful job! I gave her a vision and she made it so much better! Definitely coming back.

    Don’t hesitate. Just book your appointment! I’ve been getting my hair done professionally for 25+ years and this is by far the best salon experience I’ve ever had. My hair has been almost every color imaginable and varied from a pixie cut to reaching my butt over the years. I’ve searched for years and finally found my unicorn hairstylist ~ Liz at Aeffect hair.I’d been visiting another well known Orlando area salon and wasn’t happy with my look and my hair was extremely dry and damaged using their branded products. My sis gets her hair done by Celina and kept urging me to make an appointment at Aeffect and I’m glad I finally did.I set up a consult and talked with Liz about my hair goals and we made a plan. We set aside 4 hours for my return appointment. Sitting in her chair, I knew I was in an artists hands and she worked her magic. I’m a person that is looking for direction when it comes to my hair and she provides that. She found the curls I didn’t know existed and cut and colored to enhance my look. I’m elated to have a hairstyle that is easy to maintain on my own. It’s awesome to have products that work and smell amazing.I also appreciate the pricing at Aeffect Hair. They charge an hourly rate that is disclosed up front. There aren’t any surprise fees and no need to figure out a tip amount since it’s an hourly rate. I’d love if more of the service industry followed this model taking the guesswork out of tipping in general.Bottom Line. If you’re looking for an inclusive, eco friendly salon with amazing artists then book your appointment at Aeffect hair!

    I havent gone out for a haircut in roughly 2 years so I was pretty nervous going in, I havent had the best experiences in hair salons before and Im not the most knowledgeable on hair care. The stylists here are so warm and inviting and take the time to both pamper and educate, I dont think Ill ever go anywhere else again! Truly a lovely time with the best hair care Ive ever received. Worth every moment, cant wait for next time 💖

    Ive been going to Liz for a year now, and she is an amazingly talented hairstylist. She is detail-oriented, attentive, and incredibly authentic! I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you have short hair. I am thankful for her cutting my hair, shes the best! She also makes great coffee too!

    I love aeffect! I see Victoria who is extremely knowledgeable and from my first haircut was able to cut and style my hair in a way that was both flattering and easy to manage. I saw her a second time to cut off all my hair (about 8-9 inches) into a choppy pixie that she achieved with razor cut. I was so nervous about cutting it off but she did such a fantastic job I almost teared up at the end because I love it so much. She also took the time to explain in detail exactly how to style it, and show me hands on. She is very good at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone. :-) I also appreciate the inclusive environment aeffect offers; it is always comfortable and judgement free! ❤️

    Let me just say how amazing Liz did trimming and styling my hair the way I wanted just by explaining it, that’s a pro! She provided excellent product suggestions for the desired hairstyle I wanted. She was super nice to talk to as well! I’m excited to have found a wonderful experienced hairdresser!

    I cannot give this place a high enough review. Every service is perfect. I see Celina for my services but looking around at other clients every time I am here I would feel completely comfortable seeing any of the artists her for their services.I love that the salon has created an open accepting environment where all are welcome. I also love their pricing model so not only do you as the customer know up front how much your service costs, but that the artists her know how to budget their lives. More salons needs to take this approach.Celina has worked magic on helping me grow my hair out while keeping me, as I call it, “Elsa” blonde.Book here, you won’t regret it.

    Victoria is amazing! I came in with very old highlights and a few ideas and inspiration photos and she was able to recommend some other things to take my hair to the next level! She really listens and works with you to come up with a style and coloring that will work for your day to day life. Being newer to getting my hair professionally done she did an amazing job of educating me on how I can achieve certain styles. Going to be scheduling another appointment with her soon! Affect hair is so welcoming as well! The atmosphere is chill and the pricing is great, it is so nice that it is priced based on time.

    This review is LONG overdue but I have been seeing Liz since 2019 and followed her from another salon because I absolutely love what she does. She takes her time and is extremely detailed to make sure my hair looks good going out the door but also that will grow out nicely. I’m not able to come as often as I’d like so I need my grow outs to have longevity, and liz always makes that happen 100% of the time. I’ve had a couple times of trying somewhere else for a quick cut and I always regret it because Liz really just knows my hair and what it does. We have done all kinds of stuff from a buzz to bobs to a mullet and back to pixies, and a plethora of colors. No matter what, every thing comes out perfect whether I tell her what I want or I just let her work her magic. The aesthetic and vibes of aeffect are also awesome and they know how to give every client a great experience! I love how small and quaint it is so that the stylists are not rushing through clients and being attentive to what you need. Definitely give aeffect a shot if you’re looking for a salon that will listen to you, not push products on you, and have you wanting to come back.

    Liz has been working with my fine, naturally curly hair for about a year now and I cannot recommend this team enough. They are friendly, extremely client-centered and take lots of time consulting before performing the service. Gender neutral, hourly, and gratuity-inclusive pricing alongside their incredible skill sets really set them apart from other salons. You will love your hair and will not regret coming here!

    This salon is such a cute place!! I love the vibe in there. I went to see Alli who I’ve been getting my hair cut by for a while now and they’re seriously the best. I’ve never been able to get my hair texture right when styling my hair but Alli has shown me many different products and hair tricks to finally get it right. I’ve loved every hair cut Alli has given me I would recommend them to everyone. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair since I started seeing Alli.

    Down-to-earth and comfortable LGBTQ+ friendly place. Victoria was a great stylist- she was helpful with discussing what I wanted and what would be best for my hair type. I feel much better about my hair after, and would definitely go back again.

    I cannot say enough positive things about this salon (and my stylist Liz in particular)! I’ve been going here since I moved to Orlando in 2021 and I truly would not want to go anywhere else. Liz is the queen of lived-in hair cuts and cares so much about the health of your hair and what you want to achieve with both style and color. She cares about what works for your specific hair texture and makes sure you leave happy! She’s done fashion colors and more traditional colors on me as well as bleach services and the sickest hair cuts known to man.The other stylists jump in to help each other with more complicated services or just when another pair of hands could be helpful, and the atmosphere here is amazing! Sterling is the cutest little salon assistant I’ve ever seen and both Celina and Victoria are wonderful as well!Seriously, if you’re looking for a warm, inviting, accepting, and top tier experience for you and your hair in the Orlando area- don’t hesitate at all!!

    I did a lot of research before I decided to come here. I have had some bad experiences and was not willing to take any chances. They got perfect ratings across the board and they have another with me. Celina is absolutely fantastic! She has amazing knowledge and teaches you as she is working on you. My hair cut is absolutely amazing and I am getting tons of compliments. I have found my new home and cant wait to try new styles. BTW Celina sent me home with some samples of the products they sell and they work wonderful. They smell delicious too!

    Oh my gosh, Celine was an absolute blessing! I have been overwhelmingly frustrated with my hair - and quite frankly, I havent been taking as good of care of it this year as I usually do. I was at my wits end with the obvious breakage and immense tangling I was dealing with. Celine sat me down and talked me through everything I needed to know to care for my hair properly - down to which brush to use, how to blow dry it, WHY I should blow dry it, how to wash and condition (we were all taught the wrong way, I promise you 😂) and which products would be the most beneficial for my hair type. She kept me entertained during our time together with friendly conversation, asking me about my life and telling me a bit about hers. Most salons cut your hair, vaguely tell you what to do for your hair type (if they tell you at all) and send you on your merry way, none the wiser. I am the most satisfied Ive been after leaving a salon and will be supporting their shop by using their website to order hair care products. 💜

I get stopped daily by people complimenting my hair. Somehow Allie has made me feel like myself again for the first time in a long time.

    I took my two teen daughters for haircuts. They both have natural curly/textured hair so finding hair dressers that understand curls has always been difficult.     I came here following Alli (who is a literal wizard with hair they are SO incredible if you want short hair) when she moved, and the vibes of the salon alone are incredible! Again, Alli is such a great stylist, super nice and very talented so I highly recommend. Only thing to note is you might add an extra 5 minutes to your drive there for parking!

She sits and listens in the new-client consultation and then figured out the best style personalized to you and your needs. Further she walks you through the science behind what she is doing as she shampoos, conditions, etc and helps you to learn how to recreate the style at home for healthier hair! I love the learning that happens during my visits almost as much as my cut and color! I have looked for a salon to call home after moving three years ago and I have found it at Aeffect!     Liz is the absolute best, she is so knowledgeable and talented. i always walk out with my hair feeling so much healthier than before, even with my hair being bleached. she knows what i want more than i do honestly. aeffect is such a cool salon with a super strong passion about sustainability, and i really appreciate that about the salon itself.ETA: I still go to aeffect two years after this review and am still just as pleased with my services from Liz, she makes every hair dream of mine happen!

    Celina and her team at Aeffect Hair are simply the best. I have been to many hair salons in Winter Park/Orlando and have left disappointed. I admit that I have difficult hair and I’m fairly picky about the color & cut. Celina gave me a real, in depth consultation about hair health and expectations. I immediately trusted her. Not only is she an extremely talented hair stylist, she’s very sweet. My hair has never looked and felt better. She is literally the only stylist who has not turned my hair orange. My hair is finally growing out to be healthy and I couldn’t be happier. I used to be terrified to get my hair colored, but not anymore. Celina really cares about the health of your hair and gets the color perfect every time. The salon is very clean, welcoming and super cute! As an added bonus, they do not accept gratuities!! Do not hesitate to book an appointment.

    The best hair salon experience I’ve ever had. Ali took such care with my new haircut and talked me through several ways of styling it and how best to care for my hair.     Celina has been my hair stylist since moving to Orlando from NYC 3 years ago and has helped my hair stay healthy while growing it out to donate.     Well worth the trip. We live an hour away and my wife saw Celina and I saw Liz. They are both wonderful, welcoming, inclusive, and so professional. They helped us understand our hair, potential styles, and products that might help in meeting our hair goals. They take their time and make the recommendations based on their extensive knowledge and experience. We will keep making the drive and am thankful we found them on Instagram. We also ordered products from them after personalized recommendations during our services. The products are quality and when we ran out and tried knock-offs realized they are the best in the market. There’s no pressure to purchase though and they even give samples to take home. Thanks Liz and Celina. And, of course, thank you to Sterling, the Salon Concierge, for the warm welcome.

    Hands down best experience receiving a haircut and I’m OBSESSED. Needless to say, Liz is a hair wizard for people who usually minimally style and air dry their hair. Most gender affirming and validating experience I’ve had in awhile - I cannot thank Liz enough for simply listening me, helping me achieve a look I feel more comfortable with, and validating me. This is a safe space. Liz immediately put me at ease and took everything about my lifestyle and journey with my hair into account during my consultation and cut. Sustainability is also extremely important to me as someone who works in the field of environmental science and Aeffect hair makes that part of their core mission in addition to standing for diversity, inclusion and equality. Absolutely love that they’ve created a space like this.     Highly recommend Celina and her team. Have been a client of Celina’s for five years. Her knowledge of and passion for hair is unreal, and she’s one of the most genuine people you’ll meet.     This salon is lovely! Celina gave me one of the best blow outs Ive had in years and was excellent at determining what hair color I should use. She really listened to what I wanted but also made great suggestions. Sterling the dog is the icing on top. I would definitely recommend this salon, their customer service and professionalism is excellent and they have a very cool vibe.

    My stylist was Victoria and she is extremely knowledgeable. She took good care of my hair. I changed salons recently for ease of distance and totally regret it. The products they use in affect salon made my hair feel soft and shiny. The other salon made my hair rough and frizzy. I will totally be going back to Affect here on out!

    Liz is fantastic- she’s caring, listens to your needs/desires and is a perfectionist! She also has great recommendations and expertise. I grew out my gray several years ago and usually the first thing a stylist says is ‘let’s talk about color options’...Liz was just the opposite. She said she loved my gray, respected my choice and even researched products to keep it looking its best! The studio has a wonderful, welcoming, relevant atmosphere. I love their commitment to the environment.

    Liz Donahue is the best! She has been my stylist for over a year and when she joined Aeffect Hair I followed her there and I am really glad I did. The salon is doing everything they can to make me feel safe in this Coronavirus world were living in. Its very clean and the stations are spaced apart so I dont have to worry someone will breathe on me. The location off of Park Avenue is convenient and theres always parking on New England. And of course most of all, I am always really happy with the results Liz gets out of my hair! Shes a miracle worker. Highly recommended.

Her establishment is clean and her team is professional which is a filmmakers dream.     I have gotten my hair done at other salons and I must say I love everything about Aeffect. I got my hair services done by Chelsea and she was nothing short of amazing. For starters, my hair was previously damaged and needed serious color correction when I came in due to a previous stylist at another salon. Chelsea fixed my color and made me fall in love with my hair again. Her knowledge and professionalism are what keep me coming back. My hair feels amazing due to her care and recommendations of products. I have not loved my hair or had it feel and look this healthy in years. Thank you so much Chelsea!

    I have been going to æffect hair for several years now, and have known Celina even longer. The salon is peaceful and relaxing. Every detail has been carefully considered – from the lighting to real finger towels in the washroom. The stations are spaced so that you feel like you’re a VIP in your own personal space without conversations of other stylists and clients around you. The music is fun and always fresh at the perfect volume to feel immersed in it yet still converse with your stylist comfortably. The waiting area is filled with amenities such as phone chargers of all types, geeky literature to books of cute animal dressed as humans, free wifi and a fridge filled with complimentary local craft beer! Of course if you don’t drink, one of the attendants will politely ask you if you would like anything to drink such as coffee, water, or juice - all from local purveyors and very proud of it! If you are an environmentalist or conservationist, you’ll be very pleased to know how environmentally friendly this salon is. Products sold are environmentally conscious and the staff take subtle steps in recycling while keeping the place nice and clean. It just as a very cool, unpretentious vibe staffed with attentive people.Finding a good stylist/barber that you can click with, as everyone can attest, is like finding precious metal in a beach. It is rare, difficult, time consuming and infuriating when you don’t have time or the patience. I’m very glad I found one that I feel confident about because I know how passionate, attentive and dedicated the owner is. I strongly disagree with John’s review. Given its contemptuous tone when comparing a salon to a doctor’s office, in addition, mentioning the other salons in town and on how to do business – I scoffed. What he failed to mentioned is that salons scheduling system sends message notifications to your preferred way of communication. So a day or two ahead of your appointment, you get a text message/email a reminder that you have an appointment. In that, it also states its fees. While I get he is frustrated - nobody likes to incur fees but it’s clearly stated in the reminders so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It is also a common business practice – not sure what business he is familiar with.Anyway, if you are looking for stylists that are attentive, professional and really are into their craft in a cool, chic space then I highly recommend Aeffect Hair. Here’s some pro-tips:Pro-tip 1# – street parking is available but there is another lot in the corner, New England and Douglas that has ample space about a block away.Pro-tip 2# - Coming from East Orlando (UCF, Aloma Ave) on a Saturday morning from 7 to 1 is not the morning you should take New England Avenue to straight shoot to the salon – no matter what Google Maps tell you.Pro-tip 3# Please prepare for the sugary sweet face of Sterling, the manager dog.
