Today I visited De Novo salon and Darian did my hair color and blow out. I’ve been looking for sustainable salons that use low toxic products and stumbled upon De Novo. She did a wonderful job and my hair is silky, shiny and smooth. I am a quiet person and Darian is extremely friendly and talkative we had a lot in common which is a huge plus. I live about 45 minutes away and going there is well worth the drive. :)

I started seeing Heather back in 2022 after not having a haircut in more than two years. I was struggling to find someone who cared more about my curls than their ego. I was nervous, but after a lot of research I landed on Heather, and she immediately blew me away. Even though I had just met Heather and her team, they made me feel like we had known each other for years. The atmosphere of this salon is so warm and inviting, its incredible and unlike anything Ive ever experienced before. It reminds me of an old neighborhood beauty salon that your Grandma and all of her friends would have gone to, but with much younger people with incredible talent. I love the conversations that are had here, including with other patrons, we all end up chatting with one another. Honestly, I love Heather and this salon, and I hope to never have to go anywhere else. Thank you, Heather, for making me feel so warmly welcomed and beautiful every time I visit!

Darian took such amazing care of me and eased my mind about doing a huge chop! She was so friendly and bubbly. She explained everything she was doing and styled my hair in a way that I could easily recreate at home. I also loved how eco conscious they are. Would definitely recommend!

Darian did such a wonderful job! My hair looks amazing! Before going to Darian I hadn’t had my hair cut in 10 years so I was really nervous, especially about the length. She was very kind and so informative. I’m very happy with the length of my hair and how it turned out. She gave me some very easy to remember styling tips and now my hair looks AWESOME! CURLY GIRL APPROVED!!

I have been coming to De Novo Salon for about a year now and I would not go anywhere else! The salon is always clean and everyone there is so friendly. I see Heather for my curly cuts and styling and she is wonderful. She is always knowledgeable, genuine, and ready to have a good conversation. I have loved each one of my haircuts from her and she really listens to what I am looking for. I love that the salon is eco-friendly and sells quality products. I am so happy to have found a great salon with great people and a stylist who knows how to take care of my curly hair. 😊

Can I give six stars?I love De Novo Salon & Spa and the entire team there! I’ve been getting my hair done here for years now and can highly recommend it.Before coming here and seeing Heather, I didn’t know how amazing my blonde and my curls could look and how easy it can actually be to style my hair at home.Heather is an absolute master at what she does!Due to scheduling conflicts with my work, Heather and my schedules no longer align and I have now started seeing Stevie. I had my first appointment with her today. She did a phenomenal job and I am so happy! We had the best chats and she took the time to figure out what I wanted (of course I didn’t even know) and to balayage my crazy mane! Who has the patience!?Have I mentioned I’m driving from over an hour away? No regrets! Totally worth it!

I love this salon!! Heather and Darian are amazing ❤️ I like to change my hair my hair up fairly often (were talking some drastic changes) and Heather is always practical on how she can get me to the look I want while also keeping my hair healthy. Shes amazing with color and getting you the look you want while also maintaining the health of your hair.

Heather is amazing! I grew up straightening my hair my entire life and hating my curls so I had dry damaged hair. I started transitioning about 5 months ago and decided it was time to get a curly haircut that I had been dreading for a long time... this experience was supposed to feel so challenging but heather made it feel easy. She was so comforting, charismatic and took her time explaining all the products she used and how she applied them. I feel so confident and Im grateful to have found Heather on instagram.

I had a great experience with Allie! I have been having an insanely challenging time for someone to cut my hair in layers correctly to give life back to my curls, and Allie did just that. I also learned about which hair products to use in the future, and I appreciated that there wasnt a stressful pressure to buy the products being recommended that some salons do. Thank you so much!

Great salon with excellent talented caring artist that manifest an idea in to life. I started my hair journey a few years ago with curly hair problems. You can go to many salons who say they know curly hair and they dont. I then met heather.. she compassionatly listened to me and understood my true struggle of a curly girl. She help me through the big chop and now my hair is growing healthy and my curls look amazing. I recommend her and her highly professional team to everyone.

Ive been getting my hair done with Katee for a couple of years now and I have not been disappointed once! Having curly hair can be difficult to find someone that understands how to shape it and not ruin the curls. Katee treats it with such respect and passion that it has made me a loyal client. If shes coloring your hair she knows exactly what to do without damaging your curls or hair in general. Shes also fun to converse with, so youre never bored during your appointment!

If you have curly hair, you NEED Heather in your life! Heather, along with her assistant take the time to go into detail about what your hair needs and why and then shows you exactly how to use the products. Every single time prior to this, I would go home straight after a cut (even a curly cut) and restyle because it was a hot mess by the time I stepped outside. However for the first time I haven’t had to do that and I received so many compliments on my hair! I don’t even want to wash it because it looks so good! 100% go check her out!

Heather and Darian are the best team of hairstylists I have encountered in Orlando, FL. Every two years I like to get a deva/curly cut, I decided to see them for the first time based on a social media reference. I am so happy that I came to them! They are truly so knowledgable and passionate about hair. Explained the entire process and thanks to them I now know how to properly style and take care of my hair!

I moved here 5 years ago From the New York area. My desire of finding a hair stylist in Florida comparable to NY was not expected. Was I ever wrong! Heather Ford and her assistant Darien are the most charming, accommodating, friendly, TALENTED and professional stylists in the College Park/Orlando area. My needs were met right down to purchasing the specific, product I do not have a reaction to. I might add I drive from Winter Garden to College Park every month for their specialized service! Curly girlies, you MUST go to De Novo. You can trust these ladies to do exactly what you want with your hair. No wet cuts for curlicues, so no worries about ending up with a bob cut out of nowhere. If you want good energy while you’re getting your hair done you’ve definitely found the place! Every other salon I’ve visited makes it feel like they just want you to pay and leave, but Katee has made me feel so welcome and acts like a friend. She’s magical with curly hair and texts you for updates on growth to make sure you’re still happy.
