Today I had a full day of beauty and it was fantastic. Nikkie did my facial and mani pedi which I totally enjoyed. Her instructor Michele was so helpful when we hit a snag on my manicure. I also want to mention Ashley who took special attention taking care of my full body salt scrub. It was so fun and relaxing. I can’t say enough great things about this school and their instructors

I have been going to this amazing school for many years. I have done nails, facials, hair color and highlighting, and massage. I absolutely LOVE International Academy. The facility is beautiful with high ceilings and classy decor. The students are very highly trained and closely supervised by top-notch instructors. I have never had anything but an excellent experience. Everyone is so friendly and nice too, and professional. Love it!!

Ginger, at the front desk, was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Jamie, my nail tech, was personable, asked questions about whether I wanted certain things done or not and gave me a great regular manicure especially for it being only the second one shes done. I have requested her for my next appointment which will be a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Michelle, the instructor of nail services, was encouraging to the students, cheerful and helpful. I have scheduled my next appointment and would recommend others to at least give them a try.

Previously had two hair cuts. Today however was so much better than expected. Nail instructor Michele went way over my needs and expectations ending with skin care cream after for my first nail trim. True professional. Her students are very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable mentor.

Great experience. Lara was my stylist and she did an excellent job. The instructor was attentive, checking at all the different steps of my color, conditioning and cut. Didn’t have to wait long and the salon area was very clean. Will try some of the other services (mani/pedi, facials and massages) and definitely recommend. Prices are awesome as well.

My wife came home on Friday 4/2 and her hair looked great! She had it done by another student other than who she was used to, but she loved her! She raved about her sweet smile and her great attitude..and of course, about how attention to detail she was! Also my wife met an instructor that she had seen before but had never met, MS Pauletta. She loved her demeanor as well. She was extremely helpful and kind, which goes a long way with my wife.😀😀Last, but not least, my wife spoke very highly of the young lady at the reception desk, Mary. Says she is extremely helpful and the friendliest receptionist you have ever had there. My wife would have written all of this herself, but she wrote a review lately and her phone would not let her do it again. We both thought that these young ladies should be recognized for their friendly demeanor and helpful customer service!! Thank you!!!

I have been to have massages about 4 times and I had Ms. Eva P. She was very professional and honestly the best massages Ive ever had. She knows all the pressure points to hit and works out all of your kinks! Just amazing and would definitely recommend her every time! I got a full body massage from Eva Perkins She was so professional and did a great job! She made it hurt but in a good way. She massaged every inch from my head to my toes. I was very comfortable and very relaxed. She talked but not so much to make it for a bad experience. Ive had massages before where the people talk to you through the entire process. I felt so good afterwards. She is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions prior to and after the massage. I would absolutely recommend her and will continue to use her for future massages.

I’ve been receiving massages for the past three weeks from Shauntay, a student at the Academy. She has been actively using the techniques she’s learning , and really demonstrates an understanding of their appropriate applications. This increases the overall effect of the massage. She has excellent hands, is enthusiastic and focused.I have been doing bodywork for 40 years, and I really appreciate the care shown by her in the work. if she is this good now, her future is very bright!

I’d like to start with just saying, “Wow”!!! A five star experience for a more than reasonable price! I brought my three daughters in on January 21, 2021 to get our nails done in celebration of one of their birthdays. Not only was the quality and value exceptional, but the level of professionalism and communication was off the charts!First and foremost, I’d like to give Ms. Denise a “standing ovation”... what a phenomenal lady! From the moment I called her to schedule the appointments until the moment we walked out of the Academy, Ms. Denise’s performance was unparalleled!!! Every encounter with her radiated professionalism and courtesy. Once we sat to get our nails done, she made her rounds from technician to technician and I never witnessed her stop once. She appropriately monitored their work, all while remaining kind, patient and immediately available if they had a question or concern. It was very clear that her students likewise respected and appreciated her very much and that alone says a lot! In sum, thank you, Ms. Denise for all you did to orchestrate my daughters birthday celebration! Someone should absolutely give this lady a raise!!!Then, I had Kiersa W. as my technician. It was her first time attempting “dip” nails as she specializes in another form but wanted to learn this one. She was admittedly nervous about it... definitely even more than I was! However, she was worried for nothing as she did an exceptional job in the end. The glittered aqua tips were just stunning and ultimately stayed on longer than any other set I’ve ever gotten. Even further, Kiersa had the most charismatic personality which made my visit so much fun! In fact, my daughter even joked about how sweet she thought it was that we were immediately “best friends” as soon as I sat in her chair!Next, the birthday girl had Jazyme V. as her technician. She had her natural nails dipped. The nails truly turned out nothing short of amazing; the deep glitter wine shade looked so elegant! In fact, I believe they even lasted longer than my set and that was a really long time! My daughter enjoyed chatting with her and Jazyme’s courteous attitude directly contributed to the success of her birthday experience! Well done, Jazyme!The second daughter had a nail polish switch done by Valene R. Again, I get to report another excellent job! The ethereal shell pink shade that she painted my daughters nails with was breathtaking and expertly applied. Valene likewise displayed an attitude of professionalism and courtesy; my daughter had nothing but raving reviews about her!Last, but certainly NOT least, my third daughter had Fallyn F. as her technician. She got a full pedicure and reports that she had a fantastic time. Fallyn was extremely sweet and attentive. Her opalescent nails looked gorgeous and almost glowing! By the end of the pedicure, she felt relaxed and refreshed. Another happy customer!I want to commend each and every one of you involved in my daughter’s birthday celebration... her happiness on that day meant the world to me and you each directly contributed to that! I cannot emphasize enough how amazing of a job you all did! Very impressive! I’ve definitely found my “forever salon”!!! Thanks again, everyone!

My husband has had 3 haircuts with 3 different students and we have been very pleased. The only real issue was time - it took 2.5 hours the first time, 1.5 hours the second time, and 1 hour the third time. But we understand that it’s a school, and the quality of the haircut can’t be beat at that price.

2nd visit: Hair all over color & highlights.... It took hours to get out of the building but came out really great with the exception that it wasnt what I really wanted or intended, even though I did show a photo. I have to return due to a spot on the top of my head where the dye didnt take and it makes me look bald so they can fix that and add more color.... I have one week to go back which is hard around my work schedule esp since theyre closed on Saturdays. I also had a pedicure done while I was there but my nails were not trimmed, only filed at their current lengths, and the nail polish was on the skin.. walked out looking like I did it in the dark with one eye open.... shouldnt have paid for the nails to be honest but oh well too late. The student that I had, said hair students have to do the nails even if they dont know how so they can get certified.... How interesting.... I figured that part out already as she was barely touching my feet. Overall, I do have to say...... the Instructors & students were very nice and did their very best to make me happy.

March 5 I had a great appointment! My Student Barber, Melchor, was phenominal! Great customer service and very accommodating! His instructor, Ms. Lee, who is my absolute favorite, was very helpful as well! She KNOWS how I like my hair done, and she made sure that I was happy! When I sat down, she told me I was in great hands, and she was right. Melchor took his time and was very attention to detail with my hair color. My hair turned out beautiful!! I have never loved it more. Ms. Lee is a wonderful instructor and her students love her!!

As a previous student, I want to say how amazing this school it! The teacher really care, and so does the admin staff. I had to drop out due to medical concerns and the school worked with me when it came down to me paying my remaining payments.As to the people who have had bad experiences....- This is a school... you need to not have such high expectations. Trust me, the students dont want to give you a bad experience. However, everyone is a learning experience for the students.P.S--- I have always gotten my hair trimmed and colored there, so when you find someone you like continue seeing them! Ask for their card and ask for them when you go in.

Would have loved to give 5 stars. Kira who cut and colored my hair was excellent, professional and personable. Paulette who signed me in was the same. In our COVID world, I was given all instructions on phone and followed them to a T! While color was being done, I needed to remove one side of my mask for color to be placed on that area. My stylist had to go back for more color, and while reading my phone my hand lowered holding my mask up, which was still behind one ear. I was sitting alone with NO ONE within my 6 feet radius when Lisa, the floor supervisor approached me. She was rude and ignorant. Telling me I get one warning. WHAT? Would you really kick someone out with hair color on? I am not her student to speak the way she did, I am a paying customer! Color sat on my hair for 45 mins. I asked if I could go outside for a cigarette and was told no. If this would have been told to me during my phone instructions making appt I would have brought nicorette gum and a drink. I also had a soda in my car I would have drank warm. Been there over 2hrs now and felt my sugar dropping. My stylist got me a soda from the vending machine. Again, Lisa singles me out, called my stylist over, who then came back telling me about wearing my mask when not drinking my soda. Others in there with beverages and no one else was called out for taking mask down for a drink. I feel Lisa could have handled situation so much better. When Paulette asked me to sign papers, I told her to keep pen, I had my own. When Lisa asked me to sign I also told her I had my own pen and she rolled her eyes! I have been very adamant myself with precautions and DID NOT like the fact that Lisa walks around checking her students work by touching my hair without gloves after she has touched others. My stylist had me and only me and I felt safe and cared for by her. My stylist spoke highly of the owner and I hope he will speak to Lisa about professionalism. Students are learning. Staff should know better.

This is such an amazing school! Staff and teachers are very caring and knowledgeable. I took the cosmetology program along with the esthetics and advanced makeup program. I would highly recommend this school above any other cosmetology school out there. I did a lot of research before attending and international academy was by far the best choice! Mez, the owner, is great and the entire staff/teachers are beyond exceptional!

I luv the facials, and the haircut prices are just $5. You may have to wait but its worth it, especially on a budget! Tues and Thurs when u get a haircut; for a $1 morw u get a beard trim. Lastly if you join the the elite club ($89.99 a year) you get 25 percent off hair produces and services and $40 gift certificate (half spa day)
