Amazing experience! I would highly recommend this location to any parent. This was our 4 year old daughter’s first haircut and she did great! She loved the fun themed salon seats and enjoyed getting her nails done. Staff was friendly! We’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommend coming to Sharkey’s- Fleming Island for your daughter’s first haircut! The reviews looked promising and so I’m adding to the hype based off my own 5-star experience. I booked an appointment online and opted for the First Haircut experience. The salon was clean and the staff were very friendly and engaging- key factors since kids will wiggle and they still managed to get an even and CUTE haircut with distraction methods! There weren’t any other customers at the time of our appt so our daughter got to pick any seat (she opted for the Spiderman car- but they did have a Frozen jeep!). I did see that they had a traditional salon area for any princesses or tweens, as well as a video gaming salon area for older boys. They also had TVs at each car station with streaming services. They said shampoo is included with the haircut but we had already washed her hair prior to the appointment. They did her nails and she got to pick a ring. They also gave her a balloon and lollipop! With the First Haircut package- we received printed before/after pics and a printed certificate. We also got a baggy with a lock of her hair. Overall 5 stars for the stellar, pampering experience and great haircut! We had Trinity as our stylist and I didn’t catch the shop manager’s name but both of them were amazing with engaging our little one and the skill of cutting a wiggle worm’s hair! For reference, my daughter is aged 3 at the time of this haircut.

I brought my two oldest daughters in for a cut today and they received the ultimate experience. We were immediately greeted with warmth and smiles. Both Rachel and Cassie were wonderful with my girls and so kind. I had my toddler with us, as well, and they were incredibly patient and allowed her to play and free roam so she could get the experience too. From the shampoo, to the cut, style, tinsel, and nails my girls felt so special. They both feel beautiful. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for an amazing time!

Rachael did a wonderful job cutting my two year olds hair! It was his very first haircut. I was afraid to take him to a salon for a haircut because he can be unpredictable. They make sure your child has the best experience- TV, lollipops, balloons,.... I definitely will be coming here again.

This place is awesome the staff is so kind and caring they boost the atmosphere of the business. The hair cuts are fantastic the stylists are patient with kids and still find ways with the wiggly worms that kids are to be able to give a fantastic haircut. They are supportive of the big emotions kids have while giving them the haircut. They have cute packages for that dreaded first hair cut before and after pictures. Overall this place has it all.

My husband and I took our four year old daughter for her first hair cut experience and we were completely blown away. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is incredible and the overall experience was definitely an A+. This will be the only place that we take my daughter to get her hair cut from now on. Our first time taking our kids here, we are out state, moved to Florida recently. We have 2 and half year old with a seven year old, their first experience was a success. Kids were super excited to come in and not nervous or scared. Super friendly staff owner and manger were so nice with the kids and super friendly. 7 year old got her nails and hair done and was amazing. I recommend anyone to give them a shot for kids haircut.

We enjoyed Sharkeys just as much as the kids did. My 9 year old enjoyed playing the Xbox while getting his hair cut. It was very fun and upbeat which helped to ease his anxiety of getting a haircut. The Xbox helped too and what a great way to keep him still and looking forward. Hannah was wonderful!The inside is very fun and colorful. There are little cars for boys and girls to sit in while getting their hair cut if you have younger children while they watch TV. My 1 year old really enjoyed playing with the steering wheel and buttons while getting his 1st haircut.There is a spot where they can paint your little girls nails too.

My 11 month old had a wonderful 1st haircut experience with the stylist, Hannah! She was patient and skilled with a wiggly baby (and all of the family crowding her that wanted to watch his first hair cut)! She did a great job and we were so happy with the cut and how much fun he had while there. The adults had fun just watching! We also loved the 1st haircut certificate we got with before and after Polaroid pictures. I highly recommend and we will be back.

This place was awesome!!!! My daughter had the best time on her birthday!! She got her first haircut, they washed and dried her hair, polished her nails, let her pick out 2 cute little rings, let her watch Bluey and gave her a balloon and lollipop before she left!We also received a certificate with before and after pics!! She slightly layered it to help with the weight too but stayed within my daughter’s request to only have a little bit cut off (loves her long hair). Great experience and we will be back!

Loved this children’s salon! Absolutely adorable, well put together and extremely personable staff! Which goes a long way to relax parents when bringing a rambunctious toddler! For the amount of gymnastics my 16 month old did during his haircut I’m impressed how well the haircut ended up! My cousin brought her 5 year old daughter for a cut at the same time as our appointment, and her stylist did an excellent job with her very curly hair! Highly recommend! Such a wonderful place to get your childs hair cut! My 16 month old son and I had the best experience. Cassie was so sweet and accommodating to my sons needs for breaks and extra distractions. We had a great experience here today. My 4 year old daughter has Cerbral Palsy and cannot sit unassisted and is non verbal, so I was nervous about taking her but she was constantly pulling her pony tails out so I wanted a short bob. The staff was extremely sweet and accommodating to her needs. I was able to sit her in my lap and although they did it quickly, understanding she had a limited time before she got upset, it still came out so cute and perfect. Its going to be so much easier to manage her hair!

I will never take my kids to another place for a haircut. This place is a hidden gem 💎 I heard about this place from a friend, but I didnt even realize a place like this existed. My 1yr old had her first haircut sitting in an electric car watching cocomelon and my 9 yr old played fortnight while she got hers cut AND baby got her nails painted and it was not a dollar more expensive than the hair cuttery. Really doesnt get any better for a kids cut experience. I tell all my mom friends about this place now!

This is the absolute cutest place to take your child for a haircut! It supports every age with entertainment from ATV car seats with TVs, gamer stations, glam station, nails are for the girls, and silly scented soaps for fun at the hair washing stations. My kiddo warmed up to Hannah so quickly. She was his cheerleader and listened to his every concern (he would say he is itchy and she would brush the hair off every single time). He also became best buds with Romano. Romano helped make my son laugh and stay distracted through the last stretch of the hair cut. At the end, my son got a lollipop, balloon, a temp Sharkey tattoo, and a clean haircut! He walked out smiling saying he had FUN getting his haircut. HIGHLY recommend this be your go-to for the little ones as it is now ours!!

The staff is wonderful! All three of my children were very comfortable. And only one was getting their haircut. Sarah was very sweet and patient and excellent at communicating with my son. His hair came out exactly how he wanted! Sonia or Sonya (sorry if it’s spelled wrong) did a wonderful job at making my girls feel at home while they waited. She spoke to us all like we were old friends. She was also very informative & thorough in explaining the services they offer & details about their membership. This Sharkeys is much further away from our house, but it is SO worth the trip. While the entire staff is amazing, Jessica works wonders with my son. Walked in on a Saturday morning without an appointment and they were able to fit my kiddo in. Everyone was super friendly to him and made him (and me!) feel comfortable and at ease. Sasha, his stylist, did a great job with his cut and checked in with me frequently to make sure it was in keeping with what I wanted. They’re not cheap, but they offer SO MUCH to keep kids comfortable and distracted during a cut. Highly recommend this place for the young ones.

Our son has sensory issues and does not like getting hair cuts. We showed up for his appointment and were greeted promptly even though it was very busy. Our son was obviously stressed at everything going on so we rescheduled to a weekday and gave us the last time slot for the day to try and make our experience as comfortable as possible. We arrived early and the store was empty, which was a relief. Sarah and Hannah were calm, kind, and very thorough and gave our son a great haircut. Well be back for the next one.

I took both of my kids there this morning. It was my 2 year Olds very first haircut, and Jessica did a phenomenal job. Even with him. Wiggling around she was able to preform an amazing haircut. My 9 year old is autistic, and finding somewhere for him.to get a haircut where he is comfortable has been a hard process to find, but again Jessica did a phenomenal job, and actually listened to us, about our concerns, and made sure to accommodate him in the best way possible. I brought my 4 yr old daughter here for her first hair cut. We had Hannah, who was so great. My daughter is extremely shy and uncomfortable around strangers, it took her about 10 mins before she would lay her head in the sink for a hair wash, but the whole time Hannah quietly stood back and let my daughter get comfortable on her own. She didnt get frustrated, she didnt try to get involved, which some people do and that makes it worse. Once she got her hair washed it was smooth sailing. Hannah cut my daughters hair exactly where she wanted & gave her a cute little mani. My baby loves her hair so much, well definitely be back!

I am so happy that I chose Sharkys in Fleming Island for my sons (20 months) first hair cut and daughters (12 y.o) first big lop! (She cut almost 9 inches off!) Holly was fantastic! Her haircut was phenomenal, and I was blown away by her patience, persistence, and calmness while my son wiggled, squirmed, pulled away, and batted at her hands while she worked. She settled for nothing less than a perfect cut and also made us feel welcome and at ease, especially during the difficult moments of the process when I was mortified! Hannah, too, is a RockStar! She gave my daughter exactly the cut she was looking for while simultaneously adjusting it to suit her features! My daughter felt very doted on and pampered and can not wait to go back! And we all know just how picky a 12 year old prima donna can be! Lol. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, especially for children. The customer service is top tier!
