    Hands down, one of the best salon experiences Iā€™ve ever had ā€” from Winter Park to overseas, nothing compares! I called for a last-minute color correction before starting a new job, and Maya on the phone was phenomenal. She explained their availability, went above and beyond to get me in an hour earlier, and even communicated my urgency to the stylist.From that call alone ā€” five stars. But then I met Christina, my stylist, and wow. Her energy was amazing, she offered me a drink (theyā€™ve got Coke, Sprite, water, etc.), and she confidently took on my hair transformation.My hair was bright orange and damaged, and I left with healthy, professional, exactly-what-I-wanted hair. Iā€™m terrified of haircuts, but Christina totally respected my vision, didnā€™t cut more than I asked, and nailed the style.100/10 ā€” best salon and stylist! Iā€™ll absolutely be back and recommend this place to anyone.Bonus points: The other stylists around Christina were super friendly, genuine, and made me feel welcome all day. My most recent service was the Brazilian Blowout Straightener on my hair and I couldnā€™t be more pleased! My photos of my hair are always visually pleasing for major events and can always trust Klodianā€™s work as he pays special attention to detail and stays informed of the best products and methods to use for the health of my hair. I highly recommend him. The salon staff are always professional and nice and the salon is kept very clean with a relaxing yet chic type of atmosphere. I love the little fridge with a variety of sodas or water as you walk in the foyer as it is welcoming. I canā€™t imagine going anywhere else.

    I came to Velvet Lab for the very first time today in search of a new hair salon, I went to Ms. Maya Michelle and she was absolutely amazing, She worked so quickly I was in and out within a couple hours! Maya saved my hair and brought it to the most blonde itā€™s ever been! Giving me exactly what I asked for and more, in just one session, Iā€™ve had previous full highlights but she made my hair so bright and itā€™s still maintained its health!     Itā€™s always hard and nerve racking when you need to find a hairstylist that ā€œgets youā€. Well I did today! My hair hasnā€™t been professionally touched in almost a year due to life. Christina from Velvet Lab took a chance on me-this catastrophe-and prayed to the Hair Gods. My hair turned out amazing! I love it! Best that I ever got! She is fabulous and has such a great personality.     I have been going to Mirnesa for many years. She does an amazing job with my icy blond which no one could do before without leaving my hair yellow or orange, the color stays fresh until next appointment, but you have to do a proper maintenance as well which Mirnesa recommends for you. Her attention to detail is undeniable- she sees a spot and puts a baby high light where it needs to be. I love my haircut- she knows I am not someone who will curl or spend time styling my hair so she makes sure my hair cut matches my lifestyle. Everyone is very nice at the salon, welcoming, and professional. I like their music and overall vibe, the only thing I have been noticing is the need for deep cleaning and perhaps some new towels.

    I saw Krystal for my very first salon hair cut! I came in with very damaged and choppy hair and wanted a BIG chop, and she was immediately very kind. She informed me that we could save my hair but I had already made up my mind for a fresh start and we got ready to make the big cut! The wash was so comfortable I could have fallen asleep, and the cut went well, fast and easy. Krystal knew not to cut too much to give me my short look because I have naturally curly hair, and made sure to check in on me. I love the end results and will definitely be coming back again.

    Mirnessa @Velvet Lab has done my balayage twice now and executed a natural low maintenance balayage that lasted me 7 months. She is super sweet, knowledgeable, listens to your wants and gives you her honest opinion and recommendations without being pushy or overbearing. She explains every step along the process and my favorite part she is quick and efficient without being messy. I am in and out in 2.5 hrs whereas in other salons it took 3.5-4 hrs sometimes even longer. She works by appointment and is punctual and gives you her full attention during your service. So glad to have found her. 1000% recommend her if you are looking for a stylist who is experienced and delivers great results.

    I havenā€™t had my hair dyed in about 3-1/2 yrs, so the top half of my hair was ā€œfreshā€ and bottom had whatever coloring was still holding on. I walked into my appointment very nervous because Iā€™m extra guarded about my hair. I showed Melanie my hair color from yrs prior to demonstrate what I was aiming for, and it took her all of maybe 5mins to concoct in her head the colors she needed to mix in order to reach that goal, all while she was still finishing someone elseā€™s hair. I am elated with the results, but on top of that, I had the best time while there. I felt like I had known these ppl for yrs! I will be recommending to everyone I know, men and women. I will be returning!

    I have been coming to Velvet Lab since it first opened. The entire experience is always A+ I love the couches and the decor, and I am always treated like royalty.. which is how you want to feel when you are getting your hair cut. My stylist is Armand, hes absolutely fantastic. My hair always looks on point. Cant go wrong with anyone there.

    Iā€™ve been getting my hair cut/colored by Tana for about 2 years and I wouldnā€™t go to anyone else! She does a great job and Iā€™m always happy after leaving her chair. The studio is nice and clean too which is an added plus. I highly recommend Tana for any service!

    I had my hair done today by Ana and she was fantastic! My hair is badly damaged from over processing and I was prepared to go into the salon and have to cut a lot off, but it was just the opposite. Ana took the time to listen to me and encouraged me NOT to cut all my hair off. She did a treatment, set me up on a treatment plan, and gave me a nice clean haircut leaving me with length, body, and my hair feeling so much better and healthier just from one visit! Thank you so much Ana!!!!!

    Tricia is an excellent stylist. She cuts and colors with expertise . Tricia takes her time with my hair, which is curly and carefully cuts to the curl. The salon is an enjoyable environment and I feel Iā€™ve finally found someone who I can trust completely with my hair. And I am Very picky!

    Tricia cut mine and my 4 year olds hair. She did an amazing job. I got a bad perm at fantastic sams in March and she got my curls to bounce back! After our hair was done, she got Andy to wax my eyebrows and she did an amazing job! She had fairy hair and Sophia was obsessed so she fit her right in and put some rainbow tinsel in her hair! It was an amazing experience and we have found our new salon!!

    I have never been to such a beautiful salon! I walk in the doors at Velvet Lab and I am blown away at the creativity, colors and class! I was greeted by a charming and warm receptionist who had me wait maybe 1 minute before I was greeted by this beautiful woman. Her name was Dana and I was nervous. I had a little bit of an emergency when I saw her the first time, as my previous hairdresser left me a bit unsatisfied and was now out of town!! I called and got in right away thankfully. I had a MAJOR event that day and needed help. I explained to Dana what I was going after and for once I had a hairdresser that gave me her FULL attention. She knew without a doubt what I was going after and I felt confident to let her fix my color. I have been to a few hairdressers in my life and there is nothing more scary than going somewhere for the first time, especially for color correction AND blonde color correction none the less! She not only fixed my color, but gave me one of the best blow outs I have ever had! My hair was perfect! I was thoroughly impressed and will be back! Thank you Dana for saving my day!

    If you want beautiful blonde hair, make an appointment with CHRIS WONDER! She is so talented, professional, and kind. I left my previous hair stylist after going to her for 3 years when I found Chris. It is hard to find a stylist that does blonde well.
