She taught me so much about how to better care for my curly hair. Brea is absolutely the best! She took such great care of my curly hair, ensuring it was fully hydrated and moisturized—I haven’t felt this good in a long time. My curls have never looked healthier! Mary also did an amazing job helping with my blonde highlights, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The attention to detail and the level of care they provide are unmatched. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

I recommend this hair salon to anyone who wants an expert haircut that you wont be disappointed with. Amanda gave a cut and style that is easy to handle, flows and has body. I have fine, thin hair and it looks wonderful. She takes time to talk about what I wanted in a style and made suggestions. I recommend Carnaby St. Hairdressers, if you want wonderful service and great results. I am adding to my review: Just had another hair cut by Amanda. My hair is very fine and I love this cut and style I just had. She was very gracious, I actually came a week early for my appointment but she had the time and fit me in. All the employees are very nice and attentive. I attribute the positive atomsphere to G. (the owner), he sets the tone and hires quality hairdressers.

Today was my first time at Carnaby’s, and everyone was so welcoming and attentive!! I felt seen and heard, like everyone truly cared about what I wanted without any pressure to do something differently.Allie was my hairstylist, and she helped me achieve my desire for a super light trim– I wanted to walk out with my ends feeling fresh without losing length. She totally understood and took the time to make sure she was only cutting off the exact amount I felt comfortable with. She was also super warm and friendly and had a great convo!My time at Carnaby’s was a little bright spot in my day, and being new to Tampa, I’m excited to have an amazing go-to salon now. Amazing! I have very curly hair and no clue how to deal with it. G and Mary took the time to explain to me the finer details of curly hair. The products to use and how to use them. This was my first time. I will be going back for all my styling advice and hair cuts! My hair is a work in progress but because of them I know it will get better! Ty so much!

Ask for Alexia!! She is amazing, she really listens to what you want! Also when she washes your hair wowwws I was literally falling asleep I did not know I was going for a spa day feel 😁 I even was almost sleeping while she blow dry my hair! Super soft hands on hair! I got a bang trim, face framing, and layers! Alexia was great I don’t trust just anyone with my bangs I usually do them myself. I would definitely come back maybe for some color in my life 🙌🏻

Everyone has a different experience. The salon is great. Its very upscale. The service is great. The staff is friendly. The owner is a very smart business man very nice. I didnt realize it was an academy. The girls are trained there which is fine. My color was good. My hair trim could have been better but I understand the girls are learning. My issue was the shampoo process. The girl who washed my hair didnt take all the dye out so the hair stylist had to take out the remaining dye out of my hair. Hmmm. For the price I paid I would expect a better job so ..as I said everyones experience is different. I think the price was too high for an academy with girls being trained.

I got the scalp facial done by Alexia. She is very gentle when washing your hair I feel like I’m at a spa. She cuts my hair too and the results come out great! The owner G is very helpful aswell as the rest of his staff.

I would definitely give more than five stars if it was possible! It was my first time there today, I just trusted people’s judgement. Brea was my hair stylist. I had a lot of hair 😊 and expecting a big change. Everyone there is super nice and friendly, and Brea was very patient with me. She knows how to make you feel comfortable and encourages you to express yourself. It was a wonderful experience.She did a great job and I left the salon feeling completely satisfied! Carnaby St. is a hidden gem! I was searching for a new salon, and Carnaby St. came up. It’s on a stretch of Tampa Road I don’t often travel, so I wasn’t aware of it. After reading reviews and their philosophy, I was eager to schedule an appointment. I had the pleasure of working with Mary, who is an absolute delight, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the amazing results of my hair (highlights, cut). I also had the opportunity to meet Brea and Renee while I was there, and I loved how close the team was, how welcome I felt, and the overall vibe of the salon was great. Highly recommend!

Allie has been my hair stylist for more than a year now and she has been amazing! Whenever she does my hair, she exceeds my expectations and delivers incredible results. I do bleach my hair (highlights) and every time I get my hair done at this salon, they always stress the importance of taking care of your hair. They genuinely care so much about the health of your hair. I’ve learned how to properly take care of it, thanks to everyone who works here. If you’re looking for a hair stylist who is excellent at bleaching, Allie is the girl for you! Everyone who works here is so kind and welcoming. I recommend booking an appointment!

From the moment I stepped into Carnaby St. I felt confident I had found my my new salon as everyone greeted me with such a warm welcome in an inviting environment. I typically do not participate in reviews of hair salons. Quite frankly, I havent cared for many and I have been to numerous in the area. However, this charming place is amazing! I have been here 4 times and they have not disappointed. The owner and employees are the most personable and friendly in the business. You are definitely not a number here. Mary & Allie have both done an exceptional job. The team has even comes together to offer suggestions for services/products for my difficult to manage fine and thin hair. Carnaby has earned a life long customer!

Came in searching for a new look. alexia worked her magic and did a beautiful red money piece and styled it very well. she is awesome, kind, patient, and talented! she loves what she does. the entire staff is friendly. oh, and complimentary snacks for the win!! would give more than five stars if i could. will be returning again.

If you are looking for a different kind of salon experience, than the usual, go see the team at Carnaby St. Hairdressers. They foster an inclusive, transparent and welcoming environment. I started going to see them almost 3 years ago when I had severely damaged hair from bleaching and have watched them grow into the bustling salon they are today. You would be hard-pressed to find a more authentic, welcoming and skilled group of artists! They are growing their online community and have events where you can go to learn more about your hair, and they take the time and care to show you how to manage / style your hair whether curly or straight or somewhere in between. My hair stylist is Mary and she has helped me nourish and grow my hair into the hair of my dreams! Mary always understands the assignment and she delivers top notch styling, color and cuts! I genuinely could not dream of a better stylist! While all the stylists are top notch at Carnaby, Mary fosters that welcoming environment that makes you want to return again and again! If you do any cosplay or Halloween costuming, they can help you create the look you want! Stylist Bree did the beautiful styling for EDC Orlando for me last year!

2/26/22 After 10 months, I could not be happier with both Mary and the salon I moved back to St Pete and am more than happy to make the drive every 8 weeks Their products are awesome and fairly priced as well. Original review: After a year of home coloring and no haircut, I booked my first appt. here based on the reviews. Mary Litz did a fantastic job on both color and cut. I could not be more pleased. I was in for 4 hours as there was a LOT to do. Pricing was very reasonable, especially for the length of time I was there. Mary is very personable and really listens. Highly recommend.

I’m so glad that Barnaby Street was referred to me...this place is a gem in Oldsmar!My hair is naturally curly and Renee took her time during a consultation before my actual appt. She listened and advised on different methods and products to use to get desired results. I’ve been going to Mary for over a year now, I started going to her after the first half of covid happened and I had really botched up my hair with box dyes. I went from hating my hair to loving it, I can go to Mary with any hair style that I might want - which I do change my mind frequently and Mary always finds a way to achieve them. She’s amazing and you know she loves her job because of just how welcoming and caring she really is.

I recently moved to Florida and the hard water made my hair feel heavy and stringy. I got a water filter and tried 3 different shampoos and conditioners but nothing was working. G and Rachel treated my hair and explained which products to use, how to use them, and why. My hair feels great again and I love my highlights and cut from Rachel!

Very pleased and happy with my hair results from Allie Kopta at Carnaby! I have blonde hair and I am picky with who touches it since blonde can so easily become orange in the wrong hands. I trust Allie at Carnaby 100%. She is a natural blonde so she understands the struggle. Her specialty is blondes and I am super pleased with her work! She will give you exactly what you’re looking for and what you want! She’s not only talented but she’s the nicest person. She gives great hair care recommendations in order for your hair to be healthy and stay that strong blonde outside of the salon as well. Definitely recommend getting your hair done by Allie Kopta at Carnaby St!

It was the best haircut I ever got. Exactly what I wanted. A great haircut without looking like I just came from the barber. I love this salon and it’s highly qualified and trained staff! Renee Burgess, owner of the salon along with husband ‘G’ , has been doing my hair for 5 years. I have gone from long and wavy, short and sleek, brighter to softer red coloring, blond with high and low lights. Renee does it all. ‘G’ Kierans is a nationally recognized expert on cutting techniques and styles. G lectures and conducts training throughout the country and in Canada. This husband and wife dynamic duo can provide clients advice and recommendations on the latest styles and coloring that will work for the type of hair and lifestyle the client has. Rachael Doherty, also an experienced stylist, rounds out the current Carnaby Street Hairdressers team. The salon has plenty of parking available and is conviently located on Tampa Road near restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this salon and its staff.
