Alex was amazing! She spent time talking to my 10 year old daughter about how to care for her curly hair. She was patient and answered all her questions. She did a dry cut and wash. Her hair looks so healthy and curly. We had an excellent experience and we will be back.

Richard spent so much time learning what my daughter wanted. He helped her, without leading her in any biased direction, to develop her ACTUAL style and wants for her hair. She’s curly, but idolizes straight hair. He was so smooth to guide her toward reality, and helped her be curl positive. It’ll take time for her to detox from that thought pattern, but she is wearing her hair curly, and rocking it! Richard gave us the curly hair care education called “The Experience”. I recorded the wash and product application techniques, and took notes. Richard left it open to text any question she has or I have, in case we didn’t understand something, or come across any hiccups. I can’t express how genuinely caring her ours and passionate to spread education, things that NOBODY has ever informed me for hair care! It’s shocking. His analogies are funny, making the reasons for the techniques memorable. Life changing for me as my curly hair’d daughter, and for my daughter as well. Thank you Richard! We need more people like you in the world!

I have done so many bad things to my hair to try to force it straight: straightening irons, keratin treatments, super hot blow dry, etc. I hated my curls (or should I say frizz)…..No more!I knew I needed to embrace a more natural state if I was going to survive Florida weather. I found Curl & Ivy by searching for “devacurl” near me. Don’t be fooled by picking the closest shop that pops up - you need to find a salon/stylist that has been trained in curly hair and really lives and breathes it.And that is how I found Curl & Ivy and, more importantly, Ricci!The moment I walked in the door, he greeted me like we were old friends. He spent time listening to my woes, looking at my crazy hair and talking to me about the next steps. He also warned me that going back to my natural curls is multi-step and my curls will need time to “come back” from all the chemicals and damage I had done to it.Throughout the process, he talked to me about how curls “work” and let me know he would work with me to get the best out of my hair.And in one sitting, he worked magic. My hair felt so much softer, my “almost there” curls were bouncy and most importantly, they stayed awesome all day in these humid conditions. Ricci is a miracle worker and I can’t wait to go back to continue making them better!

Ricci worked MAGIC on my hair! My curls were “bouncing and behaving” after my 2 hair hour experience (think, “hair spa”). He’s incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about all things hair and a great teacher. I felt as though I’d had a 2 hour master class in caring for my curly hair when I left! LOVE the products too!

I was easily able to book my appointment online with Devon at Curl & Ivy. My hair was down to my waist and it had been over a year since my last cut. I knew I needed to have a lot taken off, but I was very nervous for the big chop. She took great care to understand what I wanted and explained each process as we went through them. She even used a hair hydration treatment which smelled AMAZING! I am so happy with my results and I have already scheduled a few more appointments with Devon for regular color and trims!! ❤️

I moved to Fl a little over 2 yrs ago and have been on the hunt for a hair stylist to do my hair. Last Wednesday this beautiful soul, Devon, invited me to her salon to let her work her magic. Let me just say she did just that. She brought my hair back to life and even taught me how to make those beautiful natural curls pop at home. She took her time on every single step and made sure that at the end I left with a smile on my face. This was my first experience with a salon specific to us blessed with curls. To be honest, I have never really loved my curls. They always felt crunchy and looked good, or looked frizzy but felt soft. I have never had both. Today I fell in love with my curls for the first time. I felt all the staff cared about my experience, and helped me learn the techniques and products used to get the best out of my curls. The spa like treatments from Devon were wonderful. She made me feel respected as her client. I am truly thankful for my visit to Curl and Ivy and will be going back!

I have been mistreating my hair for years, but tired of the frizz I decided to try going to a curl specialist and let me tell you Lisa was absolutely incredible! She brought my hair back to life. She fixed the disconnected hair cut I received a few months ago and taught me how to care for my curly hair. She was patient and answered all of my questions. My hair looks better than Ive ever seen it. The color looks great and it just feels healthier. I cannot say enough good things about the the salon or Lisa! Wonderful experience?

Devon is incredible! My mom has struggled to find a cosmetologist who understands her thick, curly hair pattern. After one visit with Devon, her hair has never looked so healthy & she officially has one (if not two!) new commuted clients— I’m excited to come in for a detox & treat myself all the same.

I absolutely loved my services done by Devon! One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time! I have a slight wave/curl to my hair that has been damaged from bleach and color and she just did a magic trick and my hair feels so revived and fresh and it feels the best it ever has in YEARS!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend for any of your services, and she’s so funny and will have you laughing the whole time!
