It’s been over twenty years since I had a major hair transformation. I originally went to Ocean Blue for a wedding updo. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but after asking me a few questions, Natalie had a plan. She did a great job on the hairstyle. I loved it so much I went back to her and she transformed my hair into a beautiful sun-kissed balayage treatment with layers and shorter hair. She really took her time and is very detailed. The salon has a fresh, clean vibe with relaxing chill music. I would definitely recommend Natalie at Ocean Blue!

I recently moved down to the area and was looking for a new hair salon. And all I can say about Ocean Blu Salon is I found my new hair home. They are truly amazing, From the minute I walked in the door the energy in the salon and from the hairstylist Kayla made you feel at ease and right at home. Kayla did an amazing job on my haircut and blowout to recommending products I couldn’t be happier. She listened to what I wanted and talked me through what she was doing and executed it perfectly I would give 10 stars if I could. Have gotten nothing but compliments since I left the salon. The owners are so attentive and down to earth. April is so friendly and was so helpful with suggestions of the area. My hair appointment with Kayla this Saturday was truly wonderful! She is so easy-going and friendly, which made the entire experience enjoyable.Kayla takes her job seriously, and you can really tell by how engaged she is in every step of the process. She takes the time to talk through everything she’s doing and explains what products she uses, as well as why she thinks they’ll benefit my hair.I left feeling really happy with the results and appreciated her expertise. Ocean Blu Salon is an absolutely wonderful salon. After moving here, my daughter and I no longer had a salon who can treat our curly hair. We previously had bad experiences with other salons we tried in the past. However, from the moment I called Ocean Blu Salon, they were warm, welcoming and accommodating. April is amazing and she greets you like an old friend. The salon is beautiful and feels like entering a spa. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. April knew exactly how to treat and style both my daughters and my curly hair. She listened to what we liked and needed and made several recommendations on how to ensure our hair looks and feels the healthiest. She is heavily invested in ensuring we are happy. I am very satisfied with my haircut, conditioning treatment, and color, all of which were done by Kayla. The stylists are friendly, knowledgeable, and beyond qualified. They take their time explaining the different processes and techniques, which I appreciate, because it helped me better understand my own hair and how to maintain its health. From the moment I called, I was greeted by Fred, who responded immediately and reassured me that I was in good hands. His warm demeanor and commitment to customer care made all the difference, especially as a woman with curly coily hair who has faced challenges finding a salon that understands my needs. I have been turned down so many times that living here has made NY appealing!When I arrived, I was welcomed with beautiful sparkling mimosas, setting the tone for a luxurious experience. Fred made sure to reassure me that Khris, my stylist, was highly skilled and knowledgeable about working with diverse hair types. This was such a relief, as Ive been turned away by other salons in the past due to their lack of experience with textured hair.Khris truly worked her magic! First, the owner answered the phone and was so kind and understanding about our misfortune. At the last minute a stylist at another salon canceled a highlight appt and this was my daughter’s birthday gift. She had to take off work and drive 25 minutes out of her way and then the stylist canceled. We found this salon as the highest rated for google reviews so I took a chance. April was so sweet and found a way to get us in. My daughter was seen by Natalie. She was so attentive, talented, and kind as well. I can’t rave enough about the people we encountered at this place. And my daughter LOVES the way her hair turned out. So do I! We are grateful they found a way to get her in TODAY, Monday, at the last minute. 5 STARS all around. Highly recommend!!!!!

BOOK WITH MADISON. If I could give a higher rating I would. Madison makes you feel so comfortable and welcome the second you walk through the door. She pays close attention during the consultation to make sure she is 1,000% on the same page as you with your hair goals. I wanted to be platinum bright blond and she took the time to educate me and come up with a game plan to get the results I’m looking for in the healthiest way for my hair possible. & It is so obvious that she LOVES doing hair because she took her time and made sure every little strand on my head was PERFECT. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owner and he was just the nicest. I told him I was getting married and he immediately offered me a mimosa! Helena did an amazing job on my hair and I felt so comfortable with her! The style looked perfect with my veil and I couldn’t have asked for better. Also, I have been trying to find the right person to layer my hair so it looks thicker and she has been the only one that has been able to do it right! Thank you so much. I strongly recommend booking with Ava Chancey. I’ve had many different stylist and barbers cut my hair and I can say I’ve never been more comfortable in a chair till I sat in hers. She was super professional and asked me questions in order to give me the exact results I desired. Not to mention how accommodating she was. You’d think you’ve known her for years the way she’s able to banter with you and everyone else in the salon. She knows exactly how to turn a simple appointment into an experience. I was offered complimentary mimosas, water and most importantly information on how I can maintain my hair from home. Veronica has been making my hair pretty for a while now, I first met her while she was working at a different salon & shes even done my daughters hair. I needed some self care time and decided to get my hair done again, but found out she moved to Ocean Blu salon. So I made an appointment online to see her there. Im so happy I did! The online appointment scheduling was easy and I was able to score one of their grand opening specials. The whole salon experience from start to finish was amazing, the salon is beautiful and modern inside with an ocean theme. I felt welcomed and pampered while I was there. Miss April, the owner, is so nice and down to Earth. And sweet Veronica still makes my hair look & feel pretty, she gives the best hair cuts & she really cares and listens. I will continue going to this salon for future hair needs. Oh and make sure you try the mimosa! It sparkles!

It is very rare that I walk into a business and I am overwhelmed by the great Customer Service, the professionalism, and the clear understanding of what it takes to run an amazing business. April, the owner, not only has the gift of being an amazing stylist, She is kind, caring, and Absolutely knows “the devil is in the details”. Her assessment of my hair after my first visit there made me feel like she really cared. The experience was beyond five star and I can’t speak highly enough of her Salon. She accommodated me with an 8 AM appointment, she was amazingly insightful, and gave me wonderful direction on What the process will be to make my hair less damaged as well as found a great cut for my face shape. Being relatively new to this area I am so grateful to find her!!!

Absolutely the best hair salon I’ve ever been to! The owner and Melissa(my stylist) really care about their clients. It’s not about the money there. Which was refreshing. My daughter Amelia and I spent a wonderful time enjoying each other’s company while getting our hair done. Stylist even talked me into going from blonde to chocolate brown and red. It looks AMAZING! My hair got really damaged last time I had it done. Instead of having to chop my hair off and starting over, they are going to work at saving my hair. If that didn’t make you want to try them out, the atmosphere was lively and fun! Everyone working there loved their job and was happy to be there. Make sure you enjoy Champagne or a mimosa and snacks.

Absolutely love this salon! I heard about it from one of their stylists Sara who used to cut my hair at a different salon. I came to Oceanblu with a friend to check it out and it was a fantastic experience! We were greeted by the owner who was genuinely interested in getting to know her clients and were offered drinks and snacks along with our haircuts. Sara did a fantastic job as always and was super knowledgeable and decisive when helping me pick my cut/products. The salon itself is extremely clean and well organized and the prices for services are definitely reasonable for the experience and quality. I have been a client of April’s for over 5 years now, visiting her original salon and now the new location, Ocean Blu. Having jumped around from salon to salon because I couldn’t find the right fit, April was recommended to me and that’s been it for myself and my family ever since! She corrected my hair after years of damage, will always talk through new ideas and it’s just interesting to listen to her about what she knows about how hair works, as both an art and science. Most importantly beyond the great color, treatments and styles, you will never find a salon with a more welcoming atmosphere or a salon owner who is more professional, warm and accommodating. April also has such an eye for detail - Ocean Blu is simply gorgeous! You feel fancy going in there, yet still so at home because of the personalized experience.
