    Myranda is my hairstylist and Ive been going to her for four years now she never disappoints me and she is the best hairstylist Ive ever been to my whole life. I would recommend her to anyone She does very good with coloring hair with bleaching hair and fixing hair. Shes just a lovely lady.

    Moved here recently, made an appointment and my appointment was with Waylon.He’s fantastic! I happened upon this place and it’s wonderful.     Myranda is the best stylist! I refuse to see anyone else in Tallahassee. You couldnt get me in another stylists chair even if you paid me! Ive seen Myranda many times and now does my husband and daughter. She is very inclusive and easygoing. I used to have major hair anxiety until I found her. The shop is so great and everyone there is very accommodating as I am accompanied by my service dog. Ive been wanting to step more into self-expression and finding myself . I took a vision to Myranda, and she worked her magic and made it come true and then some!

    I really didnt know what to expect, but I walked into a real barbershop and people who were real pros. Jessie did my scissor cut and shaped my goatee and sideburns. Hes a rock star. I saw numerous cuts walking out and they were all splendid. I even got some great beard product.A+++++

    I have just moved here this year, and had been so worried about how I would find someone to cut my hair. After researching obsessively, I liked what I read about CHOP. No one cut fits all there! I went in person to make an appointment, and that was the right move because the receptionist gave some thought as to who was a good fit for me. And she was so right! When Kay G. cut my hair a few days later, she not only is very experienced, but gave serious thought to my hair, which no one had done for a couple of years. I left happy and relieved to have found Kay who can now take care of my hair “forever.”

    I am so glad I decided to stop here, I am very picky with who does my hair and I can say I honestly have no regrets! The establishment its self is very friendly and inviting, I never felt unwelcome or awkward! Very professional and fun. Lisa was my stylist and 10/10 all around, she knew exactly what I wanted and held up conversation the entire time! If you’re looking for a new shop to call home please don’t be strayed, this is the place to be. They offer every service you could imagine along with barbing so if you have a man in your life hook him up too!

    I love the vibe of the shop. LaQuishia is one of the best baber/hair stylists Ive had the pleasure of meeting and Ive been all over Florida at this point.     The atmosphere is honestly such a vibe, but there is this one guy that works there -- tall, glasses -- that was singing at the top of his lungs and was screaming the entire time I was there, and it honestly made me not want to come back. Im pretty sure hes a nice guy, but dude...read the room. Jessie cut my hair (10/10), the music playing in the shop was great (10/10), but this dude makes me not want to come back.Im just one guy, maybe people like loud and obnoxious, but definitely not my vibe.

    It took me 10+ years and visits to at least five salons in Tallahassee to find someone I will go back to time and time again. LaQuishia is excellent. She takes her time and has great attention to detail. I have wavy, thick hair that she is able to tame with ease. She’s also great at picking up my vibe (I’m not much of a talker), so instead of dreading my appointment, I can relax and enjoy the great hair wash and cut.

    This is my go to barber shop since I moved to Tallahassee. I always go to Terryn. He is an extremely cool guy who remembers exactly what I want and always does a good job. He takes extreme pride in his work and I never go anywhere else to get my haircut.     What a great visit at Chop Eastside! 6 male haircuts, trims, shape-ups, styles and we left with ALL SMILES! There are 7 of us and my guys age ranges from ages 3-31. Were a large and busy-bodied crowd! But that didnt stop Lisa, Waylon and Sagen from being AMAZING and getting it done! They were so patient and enthusiastic with the boys.     Bonnie is absolutely amazing! She was fast and did an amazing job taming my sons crazy cowlicks! We had her give him a skin fade for family pictures and she didn’t disappoint.     Really liking this place. Matt took care of my husbands hair last week and Lisa did a great job cutting my daughters hair yesterday. These professionals know their trade, taking their time to properly section, precision cut, measure. My sister was trained at Vidal Sassoon in London and we owned a salon in Europe, so we were spoiled having her around. Im always looking for a great great cutter. Im sold!     What a joy to have someone like Kay, who is such a detailed-oriented hair designer, style your hair. Driving over from Pensacola was so worth the 220+ miles.Kay met me at the door with a beautiful smile & welcome hug. We went over to her station & she preceded to ask questions about the color & style I was looking to achieve. I especially liked that she provided her expertise & made suggestions with choices.She definitely makes you feel you are an important client & your satisfaction matters. Special hints were given on hair spray application. She also asked about what conditioner I used. Then making a suggestion for one that was sold in the salon. One that would help with the over all condition of my hair.A+ experience from start to finish! Looking forward to my February appointment.

    TLDR: Waylon truly got me right with a new style! Go check out his insta and give this place a shot! You wont be disappointed!! Not to mention good vibes and conversation with Waylon and Cliff.If you are a person like I was, you owe this place a try! Being a Mechanical Engineering major while working full time, it was hard to find time to take care of my style and to be honest, great clips just wasnt cutting it. A hour with Waylon, and youll feel like a new man! Now Ive tried a few barbers in the past but CHOP puts them out to pasture with their quality and prices! The feel of the place is unparalleled to any Barber Ive ever been to, the atmosphere is great, and Waylon took his time for a perfect cut! I truly cannot stress how much Id recommend this place so seriously go set an appointment with Waylon or Cliff and get a phenomenal haircut, beer in hand!

    I loved my experience with Kay! She knew exactly what I wanted with very little words from me. I absolutely looove the haircut she gave me. Its fun looking with lots of layers and got rid of all the dead ends which is what I wanted. I will recommend Chop Shop every time. My son had an amazing experience with Matt. My son loves to talk and Matt talked to him about whatever my son wanted to talk about. Weve been coming here for years now and will continue to come here.

    Overall I had a good experience, and I really like my hair cut. I scheduled the $40 women’s wash, cut, and blow dry. However, at checkout I was charged $15 extra for something called a “long hair add-on.” I double checked the website and didn’t see any mention of this extra charge. I’ve shared photos of my “long hair” for reference (and I only got about 4 inches cut, so it’s not like my hair was floor length to start with). Again, I really like my hair cut, and Kay was pleasant. But the price policy is a bit misleading. Why even offer women’s haircuts if you’re going to charge nearly 50% extra for a very standard length?

    I go see Bonnie for my hair. She typically always does some color for me and it always turns out amazing! I have brought her pictures before of styles and colors I like and she always my hair perfect.     ***Cliffo’s new barbershop is The Chosen Image at 1724 Thomasville Road***From the age of three until twenty-three I had the same Bukharian barber. After moving to Tallahassee a couple of years ago I went to three different barber shops before making an appointment with Cliffo at Chop Eastside, and for about a year he has been the only barber to touch my hair. He knows exactly what he is doing and has suggested two slight changes to my haircut that have really sharpened my style: a slight fade up to a number three buzz on the sides and a hard part for my scissor-cut, swept-back look on top. He also does a great job with beard trims and is an excellent conversationalist, so if you need a new barber in Tallahassee, Cliffo is your guy.

    I was at coffee shop next and called CHOP to see if I could get a haircut. They have a great system for appointments and are operating very safely. Masks are required for staff and patrons. Patrons wash hands before receiving service. I was very impressed by how clean and organized the shop is. Lisa runs a tight shop and provides a great haircut. We should patronize places like this that are operating in a safe and careful manner.

    Had an an appointment with Bonnie last saturday. She was so patient with me because I walked in not knowing what I wanted and I was frustrated with myself. She was calm and very kind and wanted to make me happy so she said I could come back another day and we will add something and she did an overall amazing job. I walked out tonight feeling just like I wanted to on saturday. She gave me my wow factor that I wanted. (I get bored with my hair easily). She also cut my husband hair and beard! Cutting hair comes so natural to her. I will definitely be scheduling my future appointments with her.

    This was my second time getting my hair cut after cutting off my locs. I didnt know how short I wanted my hair cut, Lisa was patient with me and got my hair how I wanted it. Lisa was great, the environment was clean and the staff was professional. I will definitely be coming here again.

    Went to chop Eastside after my daughter and her friends bleached her hair. The staff was excellent and Bonnie was fantastic. She was able to fix her hair without damage ( because of bleach) and give her the style she wanted. I can’t thank them enough.

    Chop is a cool place to get your ears lowered. Really clean hip atmosphere, you are offered a soda or beer while you wait and all the stylists do a great job. Make sure to call first for an appointment as they are always busy, they do take walk ins but it may be a long wait.

    Cliff did a good job, took his time and was gentle trimming my beard which if you have a bushy beard is a nice things cause they can hurt if you tug on it too much. Very inexpensive for the cut so left a heavy tip. Nothing to complain about!
