    Will soooooo be back!! I went in for a curly Hair cut with Nicki, and I’m so so happy. She spent the first couple minutes talking with me and asking me questions about my hair, and what I was looking for before we began. This is so important to me and she asked clarifying questions to make sure she understood what I was looking for. I was nervous going to a new stylist for the first time. But was so happy with my choice. The entire experience was great! Nicki was kind, funny, and I enjoyed talking with her. The whole salon was welcoming, great atmosphere, and kind employees.

    I have been going to this salon for 6 years and I love it! In fact, my first stylist became so popular I switched to a new one and she’s just as amazing! My mom, sister-in-law, AND my boyfriend go here.Many stylists also do special event hair and look amazing!!

    I always have a great experience here. Im a college student and it was tough finding a new salon from the one I have back home. Through a lot of research 850 seemed the best option for me. I always see Sarah when I go to get a haircut. Shes a great conversationalist and an excellent hair dresser (strong attention to detail). Highly recommend.

    Emma did an amazing job on my hair! 10/10. I will definitely be staying with her. She took her time and delivered exactly what I wanted! The salon is very clean, calm and a relaxing place to have your hair done. Customer service was excellent from the front desk to the hair stylists.

    Having to find a new salon is usually a hard choice, but 850 has made it so easy! I have seen two different stylists so far, Mel and Sarah, and they were both so amazing!! My wants were heard, and executed, with such professionalism and expertise. I couldn’t recommend the both of them enough!! The ladies working the front desk have always been attentive, responsive, and so kind. The atmosphere at 850 can’t be found anywhere else.

    Everyone here was friendly, sweet, and amazing. I came to Emma to fix my red box dye hair 2 weeks before my wedding. She did not disappoint… she is amazing she took her time in my hair and was very precise with everything she did on my hair and I’m extremely grateful.

    I was struggling to find a good stylist in Tallahassee and a friend recommended 850, I couldn’t be happier!! I pretty particular about my hair, and Hope got it mostly right on the first try. Only thing was it was a little too long, but they let me come back and she fixed it for me for free! Would recommend 850!

    Nikki was super personable and friendly! I’ve never been to a salon like that this before and having my hair done out in the open for people to see me. But she made me feel comfortable and told me we were in this together and we can do it! I don’t feel like a stranger anymore and my hair came out amazing. She takes direction very well and I loved how she tender she was with my natural hair.

    I’ve found my forever salon!!! I’ve been a client of Katja for almost three years and she is heaven sent! She’s taught me so much about my hair and how to care for it to keep it healthy. Her work with color is phenomenal and her cutting skills are perfection! I leave happy every single time having achieved the look I wanted. The front desk girls are gems, very helpful and polite. Honestly everyone I’ve come into contact with at the salon has been amazing. I feel seen, respected and that it’s a safe space to relax and get pampered. 100/10 recommend to any and everyone.

    Nikki slayed my hair!I had a keratin treatment done on my natural hair, and I am utterly amazed at how silky and flowing it was for my event! The humidity had no effect and there was no frizz.     I came in optimistic but very nervous. I haven’t gotten my hair done in years and I didn’t want a crazy salon experience. I booked with Nikki and let me just say, everything about my experience was magical. When she washed my hair she told me what shampoo and conditioner she was using and why. She gave me a massage which almost made me drift off. She cut my hair perfectly, everything she did made my experience even better. After, she’s straighten my hair unfortunately my hair had other plans when I left the salon but I still love and appreciate her. Thank you Nikkiiiiiii!!!

    Absolutely LOVE this place. I have seen it grow through owners and remodels and will forever keep coming. Not only is my hair amazing, they listen to what you want. They work with you to get you to what you need. Many places just do what THEY want. Although they are honest (I had a really bad idea once) they worked with me to find the best hairstyle for my fave shape.Even without my wife’s short hair, they found the perfect hairstyle together and it was perfect! LOVE them!

    This was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hair salon. My stylist, Nikki, was extremely attentive and asked me all the questions so that my hair would turn out incredible. This is the only haircut that I’ve ever gotten that actually suits my curly hair and she knew exactly what she was doing. The atmosphere was extremely nice, everyone was so friendly and warm. I wanted to give a shout-out to Joey who also came to talk to us while getting my hair done and she made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I am recommending this salon & Nicki to all my friends and I will definitely be making this my permanent location. My hair has never looked this good, I literally cannot stop staring at it and touching it. It has so much life and looks so much healthier because of Nikki and it has given me so much confidence so I couldn’t be more thankful to this amazing staff 🫶🏽

    My wedding is 2 weeks away and I’m so glad I set a hair balayage appointment with Sarah. She was so welcoming and made sure I was comfortable even offered me water and/or tea. Sarah explained the detailed process as we go over every step. Did I sit there for about 4 hours? Yes I did. I knew it was gonna be that long of a process. But it was worth it!     The customer service is excellent, the staff is courteous and professional. My hair stylist, Mal, knows how to get my hair to look the best. The highlights look wonderful and my hair also looks healthier. I always get compliments when she does my highlights, haircuts and the styling of my hair. She is very knowledgeable and and always recommends the best products to use and gives great advice about how to take care of my hair.

    I was so impressed by my curly haircut with Jasmine! I had gotten a really bad haircut from another salon. It was choppy, disconnected, and was much shorter than I wanted. I went to Jasmine for help in getting it right. She did an amazing job! She took her time and was thorough. I thought for sure that I was going to have to go shorter to fix it but she did a great job without having to cut much off the length. I will definitely be going to Jasmine from now on!

    Its extremely rare for me to get my hair cut (its been over a year and before that it was 5+ years) Dana made me feel very comfortable and I wish I were staying in Tallahassee because of how happy I am with what she did. I made my next (unfortunately last) appointment on moving day just so I could get my hair cut by her again before having to find a new salon where Im moving to. With that being said, I think I did the right thing to trust her judgement. The salon itself looked very clean and well presented. I would be happy to go back and recommend 850 to people.

    I cant believe I havent left a review here before! My experience with Ashley at 850 is always top notch. She listens well and does a great job putting your requests into action to create the perfect cut and style. She always has usefull tips on haircare and styling. When I was there this week, she customized a hair mask for me that matches the funky blue color I have in my hair right now. She goes above and beyond every time.

    I had my hair cut by Jada. She worked with me and checked in during the cut often to be sure the outcome would be what I wanted, and worked with my hair type with expertise. I’ll totally go back to Jada and love the salon vibe and amenities like the tea and seating area. My bf came here too for a cut and wasn’t initially satisfied with the outcome, came back the next day and his stylist made adjustments to his satisfaction to no charge. Much love!

    Katja was great, very attentive, she listened to my idea and vision and then did amazing magic with mixing colors and applying everything so it is reflected on my hair. And I absolutely love the cut that she did for me, it is so easy to maintain! Added bonus - Katja took the time to explain the care system to me and personally chose Aveda products that work with my hair type.

    I was very aprehensive of trying a new salon, I have had bad experiences that did not end well. I called to speak with the owner Tanya and told her my worries and she kindly directed me to Katja.     I loved my experience with Nikki! She was so friendly and kind and truly listened to what I wanted. She gave very helpful suggestions and explanations as we discussed how I wanted my hair to look. I cut off about ten inches of hair and I felt confident and comfortable in her chair. I have a hard time finding stylists who understand wavy/curly hair and she was such a breath of fresh air. I love my haircut and will be recommending Nikki and Salon 850 to friends and family.

    My stylist (Ashley) spent a lot of time listening to what I wanted/needed and how much time I wanted to spend on my hair every day while we looked at pictures. She helped me find the perfect style. It works exceptionally well with my hair thickness and texture and perfectly fits my morning schedule. I also really liked the treatment I got with my wash, but I dont remember its name.

    Nikki is an awesome hair stylist...Especially if you have curly hair. It is obvious that she really cares about her clients. Nikki made me feel absolutely at ease. Kelsey is professional, comfortable, skilled, and will deliver an excellent style, especially if you communicate!This was my first time at the salon and with the stylist, Kelsey. I am so happy with the whole experience!The space is small, but open-feeling and clean. Light music, hot tea and water available.After your hair is washed you get a brief, but relaxing, head massage.I showed Kelsey photos of hair styles I like, styles I think my hair could handle, and one or two styles I specifically didnt want. She was able to take all that information and give me a really excellent haircut!She had a comfortable and relaxed approach, and I really felt like she took the info I gave her and gave me a personalized cut. Its been a couple weeks and its growing out really lovely!

    Kelsey was very nice and amazing, I came in with dark hair wanting platinum and they told me what to expect my hair to be and how long it would take. The results in the end were amazing, not only do I love my hair but my self confidence with it boosted as well.     I loved my experience at the salon. Ive already reccomended my out of town family. Ive been wanting something different with my hair for years and im not very trusting with it. After reading the reviews and seeing the readily available references for each of the stylists work, I chose Nikki. I booked the appointment maybe late august/early september and i was looking forward to it every day. Once I came to the salon everyone was inviting and i LOVED the lavish atmosphere. Sitting down with Nikki she made sure we had a clear of idea of what i wanted before anything began. If i showed two examples that werent the same, she would explain the difference and make sure I knew what i wanted. I loved every step! I loved talking with Nikki, i loved the music with the atmosphere. It was all so wonderful. I know i said love alot, but i love my hair. Before my appointment i was reluctant to style it or feel confident with it. but now?? I woke up this morning ready to do something new and implement the tips Nikki gave me to take care of the color. Everyone at EightFiveZero is FANTASTIC!

Ive been going to Katja to get my hair done for over a year now and she is so careful to cut my hair exactly how I like it. I can be kind of picky and shes more than accommodating! I own a spa a couple of doors down so I frequently get to see the art of the other stylists who work there too. Sarah Beth and Emily always come highly recommended by our clients.     Hands down the best salon experience I have ever had. Marvin and Joey made me feel like an old family friend. We talked and laughed throughout the 4.5 hour process. For an anxiety ridden introvert this is a huge accomplishment!     After getting fully vaccinated the first thing I wanted to do was get my hair cut! Its been WAY too long, and I wanted to have a new style and color to re-enter the world with. As an almost 50 year old guy, I never thought I would have a stylist and now I do.Katja is the nicest most down to earth person I have ever met.     I love this salon and couldn’t be more impressed with Katja’s amazing work over the years on my hair! She is so professional, attentive, and caring and is incredibly talented, helping me achieve some major changes (from long to pixie to grow-out, and from blonde to brunette!). I’ve always loved the results. Plus, during COVID the salon has been incredibly safe and sanitary, taking extra time to sanitize, maintain distance, and mandate masks, gloves, etc. Highly recommend!

    This salon has such a peaceful environment that I dare say it’s impossible to be stressed or upset here! Everyone who works there is very cordial as well. I go to FSU and as someone from another city, it took a lot of research to find a salon I trust with my hair. I am SO happy that I found 850! Elizabeth is my stylist there and she is very talented and amicable. I have never left disappointed and highly recommend this place to anyone.

    Ive been going to Mal at 850 for 4 years now. Not only are prices fair and Mal is an excellent stylist, but I came back in today after not having had a haircut in a year and a half and she remembered details not just about my hair but also about my life from my last visit. ☺️ Highly recommend.

    After my usually stylist could never find time for me, I contacted this salon and they were able to get me in on the same day. I was very impressed that I was seen right on time, and Liz did an amazing job on my highlights. And at the end of the day, I walked out paying less than I usually do with my stylist, and with less hassle trying to get in. They have definitely gained me as a new client!!!!

    Ive had great experiences every time Ive come here. The first time I came i got highlights in my hair by Angie and I loved them. The second time I got my hair cut and i wasnt to happy with the result but I called them to let them know and they let me come in again and get it redone by any stylist of my choosing for free.     For being a new resident of Tallahassee, I was so glad I found a place like 850 to make it comfortable for me to get my hair done again! Mallory was super amazing, and made me feel comfortable during my trim, taking it slow to make sure it came oht just the way I wanted. Then, during my color, understood every part about what I was going for and what looked right on me! Not to mention the atmosphere was awesome, and clean, and so were the rest of the staff!     Booked with them, place so clean and all staff are professionals. Mallory was super nice, helpful, and practical. I was panicking not having enough time and my hair won’t look good for gradation but she did an AMAZING job doing my hair on time because I was in a rush super professional. Def. coming back again!!

    Mama told me to never have favorites, but this Salon is by far my favorite Salon in Tallahassee. The stylists, front desk and owner are all so kind and caring - really makes the expierence over the top.Katja is usually my go-to stylist.     The man with the blue hair...you gave me my first cut since my transition and I just cant express how grateful I am to what you did to my hair. The entire process was a dream (especially the head massage) but more importantly, you gave me the confidence to no longer be controlled by a wig on my head. You took a mess and made a masterpiece and Ill forever remember this as it was so significant to me.It may sound silly to some, but for me to go out in public with no wig on was something I thought impossible at least until my hair grew significantly longer.     Katja is so talented. I went in with just one idea, cut my hair short, and she was able to transform my hair into a beautiful, voluminous, bouncy head of hair I can only dream of.     Ive got problem hair (TON of cowlicks) and it has never looked as good as when I get it cut at Dream State. The people are really nice and its a really pleasant, relaxing experience. Its more expensive than a barber shop hair cut, obviously, but how much is it worth to you to have a good hair day every day?
