    Iā€™ve been coming to Candice for two years now, and I canā€™t recommend her enough! She done everything to my hair (blonde, red, black, brown, bangs, highlights). Every visit is a great experienceā€”she listens to what I want while also offering her expert advice. My hair always turns out better than I imagined, and I love how healthy it feels after each appointment. On top of her amazing skills, she creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If youā€™re looking for a stylist who is talented, professional, and genuinely cares about her clients, Candice is the one!

    I absolutely love LJā€™s work! Iā€™ve tried different salons in Tallahassee and had some bad experiences, but LJ really stands out. He knows how to work with my hair type, listened carefully to what I wanted, and provided great advice that helped me adjust my expectations. And bam! He worked his magic. Highly recommend!

    Iā€™ve been going to Candice for over 10 years now. Sheā€™s always very patient with my particular requests about layers and thinning while at the same time respecting that I want to ā€œkeep it longā€ without excessive thinning. She did my hair (updo) for my wedding and Iā€™ve even had coloring done by her in the past. She absolutely delivers each time and my hair always feels healthier and refreshed after I leave her chair 100% of the time. Iā€™d follow her anywhere to make sure she is the only person to cut my hair for the next 10 years

    Our favorite is Candice. She is an expert and can work with any kind of hair.She listens to what you want but also gives you her experienced advice.I get so many compliments on my hair and my girls hair. Candice just knows exactly what our hair needs.She is very kind, thoughtful and so nurturing with the kids.I brought all my daughters and they all loved her and her work.The salon itself is super welcoming. They allowed my kids to watch an age appropriate movie while I got my hair done and they had coffee and water for all.Everyone at the salon is super kind and happy. We made appointments ahead of time and Candice was on time waiting for us with a huge smile and loving heart.

    Candice has cut and colored my hair for years now. Every time I feel like a new woman when I walk out. Candice has such a great sense of color, that I still get compliments on my color 6-9 months later. She is also very flexible with my schedule. Everyone at Toppers is incredibly talented and is a very welcoming environment.

    YYYYOOOOO!!!! Who else has been looking for a salon to slay your curly locks??? Ive been looking for years and it was right under my nose! I called first and got an appointment at 11am same day. Candace wasnt afraid of my curls At Allllll!! I am so picky about my bob. I get an inverted V-Shape with a heavy stack in the back and long heavy angled bangs. So many stylist have ruined my request. But Candace! Girl! She did her thang! I was absolutely feeling myself when I left! And the other stylist there are full of talent as well. The atmosphere was so pleasant. I enjoyed the entire experience. And the cost was very affordable compared to what I have paid at other places in town.

    Ive used Candice at Toppers for over 11 years. Theres no one else Id trust with mine and my familyā€™s hair. Iā€™ve had several different styled womenā€™s cuts, bridal hair styles, highlights, lowlights, all over color, kids cuts (included 2x first toddler haircuts), my husbandā€™s cut and styled hair and Iā€™ve never had one single complaint. Candice knows my hair better than I do, and always does a great job! Weā€™re always greeted with a warm welcome and friendly conversations with all the employees. Love this place!

    Best salon experience! Candice has been cutting/styling my hair for over 4 years and she always knocks it out of the park.     I got my hair cut by Candice and have come back to her ever since. She is extremely nice and very talented, cannot think of a single negative regarding my experience with her. I highly recommend her for a haircut, I usually have bad luck with barbers and have been extremely satisfied every time I have gone. Very nice salon as well, glad I found a consistent place to get my haircut!

    I had an amazing experience with Candace! She took great consideration with my hair. knowing I was anxious about the change and also scared of damage to my hair, she took the time to explain the processes with me and also very gently handled the color processing.     I am adding an update, I am still extremly happy with my hair cut. This had turned my life back on I think. Since getting such an easy to take care of and flattering haircut, I wake up wanting to put my makeup on. Who in the world new such mental health improvements could be accomplished just by getting a hair cut. I had gotten so used to waking up and just popping a bun in my hair and going to work. Now I wake and and think, man my hair is cute. Let me do some makeup! Look what I can do with 4 pink sponge rollers. I can also leave it a bit damp and roll it up in a bun before bed and when I wake up I have these crazy cute beachy curls and waves. I cannot wait to go see Tina at Toppers again soon.I had an appointment at a different salon. When I registered online, I added a pic of my haircut that I wanted. Today, I received a call saying the stylist did not have enough experience to do that cut. They referred me to a different salon. That salon was not open today, but they did answer the phone and told me I wanted Tina Thang at Toppers Salon. I called, and they said it is 1pm ok.I walk in, and as soon as I do, Tina takes me back. She took my belongings and washed my hair. She asked if I would like my eyebrows done as well. I said sure if you have time. She did such a fantastic job on my brows while I was in the hair sink.Next, she cut my hair exactly as I asked for it to be cut. I wanted a massive number of layers. Everything she did was perfect. I was so happy that when I saw it, I almost cried.I had to come do an edit, I just had to. I got up this morning and flipped my hair over and gave it a good brush. Then I hit it with a tiny bit of sea salt spray and gave it a quick blow dry to set the spray. I flipped my hair back up and walked out the door. I swaer I felt light as a feather all day long. I could feel it bouncing. I am adding more pics of what it looked like when I fixed it. I am in love with my haircut, IN LOVE. I feel like it took the tired from my face. I did not take headache medicine today for the first time in years. I felt cute all day long! Love it! People were stopping me wanting to know who this magician was that got a hold of my mountain of long hair. I think your chair will be busly occupied by my coworkers soon.Edit to include update as it has been a month since my appointment. I wake up each day and enjoy not having that massive pile of hair hanging down. I love my layers. My fellow teachers have seen me daily and still continue to exclaim how much they love my hair. I feel like I look ten years younger. My granddaughter says NaNa, you look so very pretty! I am setting here today looking for a reason to go back and just get it washed as I felt very good after leaving Tina at Toppers Salon. I cannot wait for my next visit.Tina, you have earned yourself a lifelong customer! Thank you so very much.

    LJ does a fantastic job! Rates are reasonable. My entire family sees LJ and loves him. LJ is excellent with my 6 y/ o grandson & 13 y/o Grand Daughter. LJ is such an amazing good hearted person will do anything for anyone. I just donā€™t know what we would do without him.

    We leave far away from the topper but dont mind driving all our way thereā€”just for LJ. He is the best stylist I have ever had. He has done our hair for several years and is the best!     Thang is the owner of Toppers, and she is an auteur.She has an eyeā€¦ her technique reminds me of Jules, my stylist at Bruno Dessange when long ago I lived in NYC. After I left NY, I could never find another hairstylist like Julesā€¦ not until I met Thang.She cuts and shapes my thick unruly mop, then she carefully adds color to highlight or to create depth. Finally she blow dries and irons my mop into an edgy and flattering style that I LOVE and can REPLICATE at home. Sheā€™s a gem! Iā€™m lucky to know her.I highly recommend Thangā€¦

    LJ did such an awesome job with my haircut and perm! I know this review is a long time in coming but I cannot for the life of me find a stylist to do my hair like this since Iā€™ve moved cities. LJ did a wonderful job in taking care of my hair, and making sure it looked the way I pictured it. LJ was professional and courteous and respected my wishes for the style I chose. The picture is day 3 of the perm and I loved it! Great stylist, great outcome and very reasonably priced. If he wasnā€™t nearly 5 hours away, Iā€™d definitely come back again.

    Im new to the area. The salon artists treated me & my elderly, disabled mom well. Great cuts! I look forward to going back. I also saw my salon artist pre-admit a lady in her 90s or so with surgery wounds. Very attentive, sweet, polite.

    Ive gotten my haircut at this salon 4 times/every time and im probably going again tomorrow! I got my first haircut here and my mother was so scared it was going to go wrong but my hair was beautiful after! They treat you like family here and Candy (my families regular) is amazing. Shes like family to us. All together I 100% recommend this salon if you live or have recently moved in the area and looking for a new salon!     Ever since the 80s I have been very particular about who works with my hairā€¦ Iā€™ve had every color in the book. Iā€™ve had every style imaginable, but as an adult one looks to someone who can provide you with not only good service, but also beautiful, natural color and style. LJ has proved to be that personā€¦.. for over five years he has done my hair about every six weeksā€¦ And never have I wished I had gone somewhere else!     After trying MANY different salons around the Tallahassee- Crawfordville area- Iā€™d say toppers is the best!     Weve had 4 great experiences with Jessica thus far (since Nov. 23). Shes provided shampoo, dry, silk press, and trims on our 2 teens. We love the teen-friendly atmosphere in the salon and most of the other stylists are welcoming and pleasant. Theres one in there that (during our VERY first visit) sneezed a few times, walked up to my daughter and I, asked whether we had cats, said shes allergic, then started sauntering off..... šŸ¤” (her own client was paying to leave). I asked her whether shed been tested for allergies because it may not (just) be cat hair. I told her we do not own cats..... I gave her too much patience and conversation. She responded with no but I know what Im allergic to. While that was an interesting moment and a bit distasteful; we return because I like Jessica and the prices!

    I have been wanting to write a review concerning my/our hairdresser for some time now. I have been seeing LJ for almost 3 years. Prior to him my hairdresser of 16 years moved to Tampa. I was extremely grateful that my daughter started using him and suggested that I also give him a try. I havenā€™t looked or do I plan on looking for another hairdresser since started going to him. Since my daughter started using him along with myself, we have also encouraged my other daughter, her m-i-l, her sister and daughter, a dear friend and her 2 boys/mama along with her friend that is from California of which is also a hairdresser. She has traveled 2 to visit her and has LJ do her hair as well. If you were to give each one of us a call for a review, you would hear nothing but praises about him. We all LOVE him like he is family. He has either cut, colored, or permed our hair. We all have walked out feeling like a Beauty Queen and a smile on our Face! LJ you are so LOVED and appreciated!!!

    About 3 or 4 years ago, I was looking for a new hair stylist. As fate would have it, while at a bridal shower, I met LJ. The bride-to-be introduced us and we struck up a conversation. Soon after that, I was at Toppers Salon getting my hair did just the way I like it, and I havent gone anywhere else! LJ is attentive, creative, friendly, and knows what hes doing! He is a Godsend to my hair!!!

I was fortunate enough to find LJ which I did through the Tallahassee Community app.I asked for a good male hairdresser & withing minutes, eight people highly recommended LJ.All eight recommendations were right on, LJ is indeed amazing!LJ exceeds in his job skills, & he provides a high level of service to his customers.LJ is attentive, has great listening skills & he is fun, funny & very courteous!I love my hairdresser!!

    I absolutely love this place because of Trent. His hair cutting experience, attention to detail, and amazing conversation skills makes this such an enjoyable experience. Heā€™s really communicative when it comes to finding out what you want, and will really talk you through the entire hair cut, making sure itā€™s exactly what you want.     Jessica is the best hair-stylist I have ever had. No other stylist has ever made me glow with such happiness after being in their chair. My first appointment with Jessica was to dye my hair back to its natural color after years of frizz from my head being bleached too much (and some splat). She helped me pick out the exact shade I wanted and styled it beautiful. I cried tears of happiness on the way home that day because I finally recognized myself in the mirror after three years of not being able to. She also deep-conditioned my hair that day and it has been so much better ever since.For my graduation photos, I felt gorgeous. For my graduation, I was able to get a timely appointment. Both times my hair looked fantastic for that day and the days that followed.She is the only stylist who has not made negative comments about my naturally curly hair, and payed attention in where she cut so my curls would remain vibrant and full in the months to come. Im terribly sad to move from Tallahassee and not being to use her services anymore, but I greatly recommend her to anyone looking to feel like their best selves.

    I love toppers. Candace cuts my sons hair and is amazing!! Have also had mine and my daughters hair cut and styled. They never disappoint. Pays to call ahead and schedule an appointment as they are usually very packed, and even though they accept walk-ins be prepared to wait. I love love love Toppers!!!

    Ive always had good experiences regardless of whos cut my hair, and my hair is not always easy to to manage. Jessica and Candice are my go-to stylists, but Thang cut my hair once and did a wonderful job on very short notice just before closing. Jessica always does a great job with eyebrow waxes, and is very gentle.From time to time I have had to wait a very long time, but that usually only happens at the end of the day if I fail to make an appointment, which is a problem I consider to be my fault. The prices are reasonable for cut and style. I cannot attest to value/quality for color as I have never used that service.

    I went to Topperā€™s while I was an undergrad and would always get my hair cut by LJ. Two years later, I came back to Tallahassee and was lucky enough to be able to go to LJ again.     Toppers Salon was the first salon Ive ever visited in Tallahassee, and my experience was amazing. All of the workers were super friendly and welcoming. I had Jessica give me curtain bangs and she did a wonderful job. She is kind and listens exactly what the clients want!!

    My family has been using Toppers for the past 16 years. We absolutely LOVE them. They always do an amazing job on my brother, dad, special needs sister, mom and me! They also have the best prices for how good of a job they do. All of the staff is amazing. My brother goes to Trent. I go to Candice. And Tang does my mom and sister. Candice just gave me an undercut that is better than Iā€™ve found on google and a balayage that is perfect for me. Couldnā€™t recommend them more.
