Today, I visited the Smart Style Salon to have my hair trimmed and my eyebrows waxed. My stylist was Glenda who took time to consult with me before even picking up her scissors. She trimmed my hair and cut wispy bangs as requested. She also waxed my eyebrows with tender care. I thanked her and said I will be back in two months for a touch up. She provided excellent service and is very customer oriented. She’s a great stylist.

The stylist was very friendly, but not very talkative. When i got home I noticed the back was a bit uneven, but that is my fault for having my biker gear on, not hers. She gave me exactly what i asked for.Check out Sheppard for Congress on Facebook. You may be a bit surprised, in a good way.

I stopped in to get my eyebrows waxed. No stylists were visible from the desk. I waited and finally had to step around to see a stylist sitting in a shampoo chair on her phone. She didn’t notice me until I said excuse me.She asked for my name, I gave it to her and she spelled it wrong even after I told her how to spell it. It is Susanne, not Sussan.She did my eyebrows and did a very good job. I tipped her, but have no idea what her name is. She was very friendly.I rated my experience at a 4 only because she did a good job and was friendly. This salon has very little retail product and is very rundown in appearance. Having to call attention to the fact that I was there was very disappointing.

On a spur of the moment decision to get my hair done I ended up at this smartstyle as a walk in wanting partial highlights and a trim. I was expecting to be told at least an hour wait time based on how busy they were but they got me in in 15 minutes! Ive got boxed dyed RED hair that likes to misbehave and can be difficult to work with. Ive dyed my hair so many times and I know the process of bleaching hair and that the difficulty of lifting to pale blonde highlights with my hair is not a one step thing. My stylists name was Mimi and she was amazing. She is new and I think she was nervous of bleaching my box dyed hair because most people come to the salon to fix their boxed dye mistakes and then expect the stylist to make their hair exactly the way they picture only to get mad at the stylist when its not their fault. They can only do what the customer asks! Mimi was very attentive and she even ran over to the self checkouts in Walmart to grab me a drink so I didnt have to walk out there with my foiled head and cape. Very easy to make conversation with and down to earth stylist who did exactly what I wanted. Ill definitely go back!
