    As a snowbird, it’s hard to find a stylist in The Villages that can cut/style your hair like your preferred stylist at home. I’m sure it’s hard for stylists, too, because they don’t really have time to get to know you and your hair.I found Michael, at Salon Jaylee - Colony, from a referral. I saw a woman with a style I liked and asked who she went to. He did a good job on my first two visits and did a great job on my third! He gives a nice shampoo with a good touch and he’s quick with his scissors. He’s friendly and pays attention; he doesn’t chit chat with other stylists while he’s working on me. I’d definitely recommend him!

    I am just here visiting but my schedule required a touch up while we were down here and Salon Jaylee looked like a great salon. I met with Jackie, who took the time to really understand what I wanted. Red can be tricky, especially when you are working with someone for the first time. All I can say is, “Wow!” I am so pleased. I will definitely return and ask for Jackie when I am back!

    My hairstylist Matt was amazing!! He was super honest and up front about what would damage my hair or when I expressed what I was wanting. He went out of his way to meet me with what I was wanting and helped me decide a healthier alternative for my hair. He was very knowledgeable and very, very friendly and made me feel very at ease! I had asked for a long layers and I think he did amazing :))

    Salon Jaylee is a nice salon. I went to the Colony Plaza location for a manicure and pedicure Abbey Bickhart did the service. She was very kind and did a great job. She was very thorough. I highly recommend Salon Jaylee and Abbey Bickhart.

    I was greeted immediately upon arrival, and taken back right on time. Chantell was everything I hoped for and more. Her consultation was thorough, and she made sure I understood what my part of my new look would be. During my service, other stylists engaged with me as well, which was nice. It was clear they all worked very well together. My hair looks absolutely amazing and Im so thankful Chantell took the extra time to do finishing touches that set her service apart.

    I had a wonderful experience. All staff is very friendly. I have Jackie as a stylist and she awesome. Talented with cut and color, personality is friendly, energetic, and you can tell she likes her job. Very good. I recommend her to many.

    Well I NEEDED big treat and my hair is never, ever on the list but I walked in and was lucky enough to get Micheal…a level 6 which I never knew was a ‘thing’ but as it was the most expensive I indulged with not a single regret beyond I won’t be able to do it again. As a total novice I was treated with gentle, kind hands and conversation. My silly requests were granted without a question. I do so wish I could have seen some facial expressions tho when I did not want to be facing the mirror as Michael was performing his magic 😚

    Salon Jaylee was recommended to me by my neighbor. This is a true salon with an atmosphere that makes me feel special. Michael is a Master Stylist, and my hair looks great! I like the quality of the retail products available for purchase as well.

    Went for a hair cut, I luckily got Matt for an appointment, I will never go anywhere else for a hair cut. He was friendly and welcoming, almost immediately understood what I was asking for!! Communication is important 😊. I love the cut and made another appointment before I left. Lovin it❤️

    I enjoy going to the salon. The ladies and gentlemen are great. Michael has been coloring and styling my hair since he started at the Salon. I think with your recent price increases you will lose some of your clientele. Other salons in the area are just as good as yours and not as expensive. Five stars to Michael, but 1 star for your rate increase

    Michael Wainwright is AMAZING!!! He took care of me twice while I had to be in Leesburg, Florida unexpectedly for a couple of months. I am forever thankful for Michael. If I ever have to come back down I will be scheduling a hair appointment with him. I highly recommend Michael and cannot thank him enough.

    I was visiting a friend & needed a pedicure. Salon Jaylee in Colony Mall was close. I had a great experience from the time I walked in until I left! The young lady that gave me my pedicure did a great job—I wish I could remember her name—it was different. The receptionist answered all my questions (& was very knowledgeable) about the products, and I found new skin that I will now be using. I like the fact that they use clean products. I will definitely go back when I am in The Villages!! Thank you for a great experience.

    Once again Matt was amazing. I was wanting a very short haircut, but knew it might be an issue with my front cowlick. I had booked a free consultation and I highly recommend everyone do this. Matt took time to listen to me and was open to discussion. I felt completely confident that he had my best interests in mind. I never felt rushed and ended up with a short, but not super short cut that looks amazing. I think the cut I wanted would have made me look like just another old lady.     Cassidy was great- even though I booked the color, highlights and cut to try to take care of my grey hair that turned orange, she determined I really didn’t need that and gave me a nice haircut instead.     Chantelle is the best! She is always open to suggestions and eager to please, but also willing to offer her expert opinions. Im so happy to have found her!One thing - sometimes the music in the salon is so loud that I Ieave the salon with a headache (that was not the case today). Its not realistic to think that people should be able to hear the music clearly over hairdryers, talking voices, etc. Please consider keeping the music at a reasonable level.

    I highly recommend Salon Jaylee. I have seen multiple hairstylists at the Magnolia location and have loved each experience. Most recently, JonLynn helped me go back to my natural color and Asia gave me a fresh new cut to allow me feel more confident allowing me to show off my naturally wavy hair. All of the stylists at SJ are very talented, professional! I would highly recommend any one of them.

    Would have given 5 stars for the stylist and manicure, but when I checked out, I wasnt able to use my credit card for the tip. When I asked about it, I was abruptly told no tips on credit cards. This was my first time there, so not sure how Im supposed to know that. I asked if I could tip cash, but I would need to break a $100 bill and once again abruptly told transaction is complete, we cant do that. I told the check out person this was my first time there - how was I supposed to know this? She said she was sorry and would tell them. There had to be a solution and the check out person could have helped me figure out how to tip their stylists, but she wasnt didnt seem to care. I walked out and still feel bad for not tipping them.

The nails look like they need another coat and they could be closer to the back of nail I’m worried they will need done sooner than later That will come with getting to know each other better

    First time here and had a great experience. They fit both of my daughters in last minute. A very nice salon. Great price for childrens cut without cutting corners. Both girls got a wash, style cut and their hair styled. Johanna did a wonderful job and both girls said she was very nice. Well def be back for school hair cuts.

    The young lady that did my pedicure was very friendly and did a great job. The charge was $40. Since I saw on their website that there was a July special for $25, I was a little confused. Checked the ad when I got home and I’m guessing in order to get the pedi for $25, I needed to purchased some other products. If that is a correct assumption, the ad was not clear for me. In any event, I’m happy with the pedicure but disappointed with what I paid.

    I had three things done, including hair color on gray roots, haircut/style and eyebrow trim. I wanted gold in my hair color and it took a long time to agree on how much gold but it turned out exactly how I wanted it over an hour later. My haircut was crazy, and chaotic looking. I was told I could have long bangs near my cheekbones but they ended up longer than the tip of my nose, closer to reaching my chin. When she was supposed to be curling and blow drying my hair, she couldn’t finish because her next client was waiting so she stopped and rushed me to the front desk to pay $147 for crazy hair that was thinned manually, all different lengths, and puffy, totally straight without bangs, just long heavy hair that didn’t frame my face as she promised me. She suggested headbands, told me the clips/claws I brought in were too big and to get smaller ones, and told me my ponytail stretchy things were too big too and to get smaller ones. I’m really mad she didn’t finish my hair with the round brush and blow dryer. I sat watching another hairdresser make several of her clients hair look soft, curly and beautiful and I now have straight, crazy hair that I don’t know what she wanted it to look like because she didn’t finish it and didn’t give me the bangs she promised me, which would have been half the length she left them. I guess I’ll have to cut them myself and try to curl and blow dry this chaotic mess she left in her hurry to do her next client’s hair. Maybe I can get the good hairdresser next time who sent her clients home with soft, curly beautiful hair! It’s a crime to leave a chaotic mess a client doesn’t know how to finish or how it’s supposed to look because it was abandoned in the end. I’ve never had a hairdresser just give up after an hour and a half, project not finished. Really?!!!! I have important appointments this week and I’m having surgery next week and I look like a chaotic mess, a laughing stock and embarrassment!!! I received a voicemail from Jamie and she apologized and said she didn’t want any customer feeling the way I did and told me to call and come in to get my haircut and “finished” look! I went in yesterday and had a fantastic hairdresser who gave me the best haircut I’ve ever I had in my entire life! She gave me the wonderful bangs I wanted and a very modern bob that was high up in the back and I swear I looked like a model, something out of a magazine! I went home and husband kept saying “I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!” I’m not kidding, my hair took over three hours total to create, and it was worth every penny! Do not complain about the prices of the services they are providing, because these people are artists that create masterpieces! They are perfectionists and they have even tell me they are OCD, you know, perfectionists!!! Luckily, I figured out they weren’t trying to be mean to me but getting a plan to reach perfection with my hair! They didn’t know I just colored it myself to just cover the gray, they had to have my entire head the perfect color! I’ve lived in The Villages for almost twelve years now and gone to a lot of hair saloons but Salon Jaylee is by far the best!!! No one cares about how you look and feel more than they do, I promise you!!! They are worth every penny that they charge and work very hard to reach perfection and your happiness! I’m an higher than the moon right now because in five days I’m having surgery and no matter how bad I’ll feel in bed recovering, my hair is going to look GREAT, I’m not kidding! I don’t even recognize myself in the mirror! I’ve been transformed into a model or movie star!!! I’m not kidding I look better than the prettiest model, movie star or royalty Princess you will see on TV or in magazines! I went to Publix after my appointment and people were staring at me and some were coming up to me and talking to me! Thank you Salon Jaylee!!! There is no price for beauty, it’s priceless!!!! Your artists don’t stop creating their masterpieces and we will gladly support them!!!

    This salon exceeded my expectations that are very high! While visiting my parents, I called for an appointment and was pleased with the scheduling and accommodations. They listened to my service request and selected the perfect stylist, Scotti, for me! She did an amazing job on my hair, which is not an easy task! I also have allergies and she had products available to accommodate with ease and the best detangler spray (of course I purchased and plan to stop back to buy more to take home with me :). I am very impressed with Scotti and this salon and look forward to more visits when I am in the area! The prices are very reasonable considering the skill set of the stylists, the superior products used, and the inviting atmosphere and location. This salon deserves the highest rating!

    My stylist was Molly & wow what an experience! The salon is so beautiful & everyone was so friendly. The salon has so many quality hair products & cute items to purchase. I picked up a shampoo for my colored hair & a huge 15oz hairspray that holds perfectly without that crunchy feeling. I kept saying how the salon reminded me of somewhere the people in district 1 in the movie “hunger games” would go to , it also reminded me of a salon out of the live adaptation of “the cat in the hat” lol. I thought the blowdryers hanging from the ceiling were some elaborate decor but they actually pull on them and use! The service was amazing with Molly, she did a ginger color w/ a bold blonde, face framing money piece inspired after Haley Williams/ ginger spice and I’m in love. She explained the process throughly, went over options with me, and was very attentive. She made me feel so comfortable trying something new & I can’t wait for my next appointment.
