    Takes a little while, but great place for manicure, pedicure and hair service. Michelle has great expertise even at halfway through her schooling. Shes also sensitive and kind and great person to be around. I would definitely go back.

    Color, haircut, and blow dryā€”reasonably priced for such a wonderful experience.I was very lucky to be assigned to a mature, knowledgeable and highly professional level 2 student, Jasmyne. She proved to be an excellent listener and apparently understood what my hair issue wasā€”then, she proceeded to problem solve with two (2) of the instructors to make sure her choices for me would work. Beautiful outcome!! I couldnā€™t be happier with my results!I am booked for a follow up appointment in 6 weeks.

    I had a wonderful experience at Tenaj! Everyone was friendly and professional. My student stylist was Brittany L. I would have never known she was a student. She was ahh-mazing, and took my hot mess hair and turned it into something awesome and fun, which is exactly what I wanted for my birthday! They had to color as well as lighten my hair, and cover the ahemā€¦greyā€¦so I know it was a lot of work! I would highly recommend her and Tenaj for professional hair services and I will definitely return!

    I recently had a hair appointment with Kayla Bowen and I could not be more grateful and happy with my experience. She is amazing at what she does! She is going places!!! She was very understanding of what I wanted, she asked questions, she was gentle with my hair, and by far the best hair artist Iā€™ve had. Kayla If you see this keep up the good work! :)

    This was my first experience at Tenaj Salon Institute. I was seated on time and had a very positive experience. Yes, it took a little longer for the foils and highlighting, however the student was attentive, confident and did an amazing job. The instructor was overseeing the progress and provided feedback when necessary. Bottom line is my highlights are beautiful and the haircut is exactly what I requested.

    I came in for a shampoo and blow dry. Gabriela did my hair and I was really happy with how she did my hair. She is a very personal girl and we talked and joked around while she worked. I would highly recommend her.

    As someone wanting to help these aspiring stylists get the practice, I made an appointment for a perm. First thing, the building itself is immaculate. Like any other salon you check in with the receptionist, then you wait for your stylist. I was blessed with Gabriella, who at first was a little shy and timid, but with a beautiful soul. As we all know to work with the public you have to be a mix of people. Knowing that this is a school and the process may take longer than it would at a regular salon. But itā€™s worth it.I do have to say that in the end, I got what I wanted and got to help an aspiring stylist get the practice. The instructors on the floor were always nearby to check on the process and even offer advice. I would strongly recommend booking an appointment here. Again, it may take a little longer to get the services completed but you are helping someone work towards their goal.

She was also knowledgeable regarding different products that would be good for my hair color and highlights she did today.     This was my first time at TENAJ Salon Institute. I got a haircut and blowdry. My overall experience was great. Emongie was my stylist. She was young and happy, even singing along with the music. She cut my hair well and styled it nicely. She even took a little extra time to curl it. I left there feeling fabulous. My only complaint would be that I didnt get seen until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I dont know if that is normal since I have only been there this one time. I will definitely try it again.

    Excellent customer service; I was early for my appointment and didnā€™t have to wait more than 5 minutes. My nail tech was very nice and took great care to make sure my gel manicure was properly applied. I would say the music was slightly loud, but that just may have been me. I would highly recommend coming here if youā€™re looking for salon care at great prices.

    I just had the most wonderful pedicure with Imani. And my husband did with Katrina. They are such beautiful young ladies inside and out and did an incredible job . It was so relaxing and professional, as if both of these have done this for years.When Imani graduates, she will be the best ever. And with Katrina graduating in a few days, she will also but we will miss her moving to Tennessee All our thanks for making our Thanksgiving week wonderful

    Gabrielle did an Oustanding job! I wanted blonde highlights and to try some purple highlights that wouldnā€™t be too overwhelming. My hair turned out perfect and far exceeded my expectations!

    Pedi, after and before.Every time I get a request to review my service it still has an old review there. This review is being made on July 13th 2020. I received a haircut and a pedicure from Ari today. She did a fantastic job on both the haircut and the pedicure. And, you could tell she was very intent on doing the cut the way it was requested and pleasing the customer. And, shecenkoyed what she was doing.I will request her services again.Thank you, Ari.JanetAdded note, I was surprised there was no educator that came to sign off on haircut or pedicure.     The service was mixed up. I had made appt on line for a pedicure when I checked in the student I was given was going to give me a manicure I corrected her and then had to wait while they figured out what to do. I had signed up for a new student pedicure. 10.00 dollars they gave me a spa pedicure by an established student. She was wonderful by the way but not doing a ten dollar pedicure.

    Candice was great for my pedicure. . She did a nice job addressing some of my trouble areas. They were out of the supplies for the foot mask which I was disappointed with.     Literally the best place to go if youre looking to get your hair cut or honestly ANYTHING to do with hair. When i first arrived i was a little nervous because the salon is education based, so students who are learning are doing your hair with guidance and pointers from teachers. All im gonna say is, JUST DO IT!! Candice was the only one able to pull off the hairstyle Iā€™ve been looking to have for MONTHS!! She was super respectful and so sweet to have do my hair!!     Hannah knew exactly what and how the hair should be cut to look the best. I am happy about that. When I asked her to cut around the ear she did not hesitate. In a prior appointment the stylist student had to get the educator to do it. I think your students should definitely learn how to do that cut. It seems they hesitate because they are afraid of cutting there .

    My experience with my stylist, Kayleigh, was fantastic. Shes very personable, had good ideas and did a great job with my hair. My experience with the salon itself, not as great. The music is way too loud. Mostly great music but so loud it gave me anxiety. It takes just a touch longer because of the wait for instructors direction and approval but Id go again especially if theyll turn the music down!

    I really like the vibe of the Institute. It is comfy and love the music. It is very current with a young but professional feel. Everybody is very nice! I had another wonderful experience there today. I met Bethany and she was absolutely terrific. She did such an excellent job on my color and cut. She really knows her stuff and is so professional. It was also so enjoyable talking with her. What a sweetheart she is. I have already booked my next appointment with her. She will be a real asset to any salon!

    Will is fantastic!! He is such a perfectionist. He takes his time but does a great job on my hair. I have very thick hair that takes forever to dry. He is so patient and wants to please. I feel so thankful I found Will. He also is very helpful in suggesting hair products that will work for my hair.     I had Peyton do my mani and Pedi. Same as my cut and color....I listed the wrong name on my other review. She was very conscientious. However, the manicure by the students is very different than a regular salon. Keep in mind there is no soaking, no electric buffing, and no cuticle care. So for me it basically was a Polish change. A little pricy compared to a regular salon.

    I go to the salon to allow students to work with individuals who are low vision or blind intern theyā€™re able to work on their craft. My issue during my most recent trip was not with my cosmetologist. Lurk did a great job on my hair and treated me with respect and dignity. My issue is with the level of supervision and time given to my cosmetologist in learning her craft. Instructor Garcia was not available when my cosmetologist needed to ask questions or even in Mixing up chemicals for processing my hair. I believe more instruction should be given to the students when theyā€™re on floor performing skills on actual pain clinic hair. I had to wait over 15 minutes while lyric went to go locate her instructor and made me feel like I was being ignored. Please take note of my comments and ensure that there is more supervision when students are out on the floor.

    Fantastic! I went in a frump and came out gorgeous! Brianna F. did a phenomenal job coloring, highlighting and cutting my hair and styling it. She took very dark and graying hair, and took 10 years off my face and gave me GORGEOUS blond air that fits my skin tone and brings out my eye color. The instructors keep a very close eye on the process too, additional thanks and shout outs to Ms. Goldetsky, Ms. Paez and Ms. Martinez! Very very happy, lots of complements!

    My student stylist, Imogen, was the most professional student who has ever worked on my hair. She truly cares about the quality of her work and even added small extra touches (such as wrapping my hair in a warm towel after applying a masque, and extra head massaging when washing my hair).     Wonderful color and cut. Blowout needs work but Iā€™m sure thatā€™s just personal preference. Tenaj educators are very supportive. Iā€™ve never had a bad experience

    I had Charlie cut my hair. I showed her it was a bit too long around the sides I kept telling her not to cut the bangs too short & they are VERY short. The cut is ok but I told her several time I wear my hair brush to the right side and she kept styling it to the left. All in all the cut is fine just a bit upset over the short bangs I would see her again for a hair cut.

    This was my first visit to Tenaj and it will not be my last. The entire team was fantastic and Emilie and her friend and the instructors are the best. I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Tenaj. Patton was wonderful and very knowledgeable and accommodating. Thank you

    Rashnai gave me a wonderful spa pedicure. She did a perfect job and I will ask for her in the future. Tyler did a super job on my highlights. I have had Tyler several times and she has always been artistic, thorough and above grade level. She will go far.

    Today I went to Tenaj Salon Institute and I wanted a different haircut and totally different color. Alexis pulled it off again! I love going to this school and watching the interaction with the students and teachers. What a great atmosphere!

    The student performed an outstanding job. However, the color that I requested for my hair coloring was ruled out by instructor Martinez.I am very disappointed by the instructor unwillingness to honor my request.I will not be recommending this service to friends.

    Great pedi for me and my husband had his first haircut here today. He said the trimmers were dull and pulled at his hair so you may want to check and sharpen your clippers!

    Neemily (??) did a very thorough job with my mani/pedi. She did a very good job. (Loved the leg massage!!) However, I have 2 suggestionsā€¦ā€¦please update your polish section with new bottles, & consider getting dryers for regular polish. TY.

    Just had a wonderful experience with this Salon/School. My stylist was a level 1 student, and Cole did a fantastic job through the color, cut and Blow out. He took his time with every aspect of my process to the finish. I was so happy with him, I rebooked my next appointment.

    I was in for a pedi a little over 2 weeks ago and had quite a bit of chipping at the 1 1/2-week point. I have had many pedis at Tenaj and this is the first time Iā€™ve ever had chipping that early. I called and was told I could come in for a pedi refresh and so we set it up for today. Karina (sp?) did a fantastic job! I think my toenails look the best they have ever looked.

    The music was so loud I couldnt even hear my student talking to me. This was very annoying and I had to put up with this for 3 hours. I would like to return if the music is at a reasonable volume. Another couple next to me felt the same. Something needs to be done. Some of us older clients cant take excessively loud music. So please adjust.Thank you

    Initial attempts to get appointment via online and phone a bit tedious. Check-in was very efficient, student and teacher interaction very professional yet fun. Like providing opportunities for aspiring hair stylists. Keep in mind it will take longer than going into established shop since these are students learning the craft.

    The price is good...gives the students practice and always professional. Be warned it takes more time than a salon. If you dont mind sitting in the chair for a couple hours, really good deal.

    I had an appointment yesterday and was taken in right on time. You can call and ask for a higher level of student, I didnt know this at the time. There are 4 levels, 4 being the highest. The young man that was my stylist was a 3 , and he was awesome. I have been box coloring my own hair blonde for years and he did a great job correcting the color. I also havent had a hair cut in 5 years and he did a beautiful job cutting and layering my hair as well. His teacher/supervisor periodically checked on my hair progress and was professional. My stylist even brought over a tub full of candy for me to choose from while I was waiting for my hair processing and moisturizers to try. I had a great experience. My sister pays 300 for a cut and color, my daughter 180, I really think I got quite a bargain : ) and it looks great.

    Oh my goodness talk about service every single time I come here I leave with a wow expression everyone is friendly happy always make me feel special. from the moment you open the front door and walk up to the receptionist youre greeted with a giant smile and friendly faces the wait is short and rebooking is easy Today I was greeted by EILEEN..... She is is amazing. She explains what shes doing gives me good feedback and lets me try new things. She makes me feel like family. The teachers deserve a round of applause for training off all their students to be successful professionals Im excited to see where their journeys take them theyve earned my business and much much more. One thing you must do is shake that Bell and let everyone know who is the best . You guys rock!!

    I was at the school yesterday for the first time and had such a wonderful experience that I just thought I would like to compliment the staff and my student hair stylist, Josie King. From the moment that my mother and I entered your salon , we truly felt welcomed. Josie did such a great job matching my color and was very particular with my blow dry styling afterwards. She really focuses on her work and I cant believe that she has just started her training there. She will be a great asset to any salon when her education is completed.! Great job Josie!The instructor staff is so patient, helpful and kind. David helped with the color matching process as I have just moved here from Ft Lauderdale and didnt bring anything with me from my previous salon to help them match it. Ms. Connolly, I truly loved your hair color and wish I had the courage to try it on my own head!! Thank you for recommending some products for my dry hair.In closing, I would like to say that I am so pleased with my entire experience there yesterday that I have already booked a haircut appointment for next week. It is hard enough to move to a new area, but finding a new hair stylist is even harder. I am so glad that I stopped in to check it out!See you all next week and thanks again!

    My hair turned out great thanks to Amanda. I had a full head of highlights. Price was quoted at $32.00 but ended up being $105. They did not have time to cut, or dry my hair. So now I have to make another appointment to get my hair cut. But cannot afford it now. I only gave it 4 stars because my experienced beautician charges same price and would have completed my color with cut and style and I would have left with it dry.I was originally assigned to another girl who I will not mention her name. She absolutely ā€œpanicked ā€œ when she was told to do highlights. She said ā€œ I canā€™t do itā€. She couldnā€™t even brush my hair. Thank goodness she was honest and they sent Amanda to do it.

    This is one of the best cosmetology schools to go to in the state of Florida that Ive been to! There are so many strong, creative, inspiring students and educators here that give this school wonderful life. Any where you look here there are bright smiles lighting the path of the students and soon to be professional cosmetologists! The building is very clean, professional and easy to access. From the moment you walk in to hours after you leave, you feel like your still part of there tightly knit family and there close friendships! Its like home away from home honestly. I got a pedicure, manicure and my hair done here, they all turned out marvelous! My hair is still silky smooth four days since I was there!!!
