I’ve been going to James for a while now, and every visit is a great experience. He is incredibly personable, always making conversation feel natural and enjoyable. His professionalism stands out—he’s punctual, attentive, and truly cares about his clients even to the point of recommending different products that he has seen work. Most importantly, he consistently delivers a fantastic haircut, paying close attention to detail and making sure I leave looking my best, even if I want subtle changes at the last minute. It’s rare to find someone who combines skill, professionalism, and a welcoming personality so well. Enter Ashley, the scissor-wielding savior of Niceville.From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in the hands of someone who actually knows what they’re doing. She didn’t ask a million questions or make me defend my last bad haircut decisions—she just got it. She sculpted this shaggy mess into something photo-worthy, dad-worthy, possibly even responsible adult-worthy.Ashley doesn’t just give haircuts—she gives interventions, transformations, and maybe minor exorcisms. It’s like she saw the chaos and said, “Not today.”The shop itself is a vibe. James is a true Master of his craft! Baron of the blades and Slayz on the Faydz!!-Exceptional attention to detail. I always get bald fades.:: they are not easy to do well. I have gotten my hair cut many times by him- always perfection. He uses a special gel, rather than foam cream when shaving the back of your neck.. never experienced this, but it is way smoother/cleaner, wipes off easy, unlike the foam, where, even when it’s wiped off with a wet towel, there is still “icky” residue. There is a new lady in there that just moved to our area, and she is super sweet and easy to talk to about my hair, as well as chit chatting while cutting my hair. She wasnt able to use a traditional shaver to shave my face clean, but overall she is good at what she does. She did say that she is working on being able to do that, so hopefully in the future she can! So sorry im horrible with names I totally forgot it!

Ryan was the stylist/barber for my wife and me. He has been styling my wifes hair for over 6 years. We, i.e., she followed him from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze and now to Niceville...61 miles from where we live. Ryan doesnt merely hear your request, he is a great LISTENER. Hes unbelievably adept with the tools of his trade. Ryan also is extremely personable; he makes you feel comfortable and safe in his chair, i.e., even on your first visit, you wont have that anxiety of, I hope he wont screw up.As long as Ryan is within a relatively decent enough distance from us (so far, 61 miles is decent enough), well continue seeing him.If I owned a hair salon/barber shop, Id try like heck to steal him away. Hes worth the few extra miles. We love this guy. You will, too.

Discovery can be one of the most exciting things because of the unexpected. It is like finding gold, and Jay not only has gold tools, his craft is like a morning with Bob Ross. His attention to detail and understanding of each individuals style of hair, he’s got it. When you find someone like Jay you have to promote him even if it is at the expense of you losing your spot in line because he deserves it. Just make sure that once you’re done, you schedule your next appointment and call next. If you don’t, you may not get back on the court.

I moved from Orlando area after living there for about 6 years. I had the best barber there and have mourned leaving him. This is the 3rd time Ive tried different barber shops around the area. This is way better than those other 2, by far. Cleaner, more modern, efficent, nice people. (I did not experience that at the other 2 shops I visited.) Laura was great and friendly!

I have been getting my hair cut here and recommending it for over a year now. They make sure they understand what kind of cut you are trying to achieve and show you progress willingly. Being in the military, hair cuts are a regular thing and they can schedule them bi weekly with no problem. I would call to schedule a cut because they do such a good job that walk-ins can take some time to work into their schedule. Jay is a great barber there and treats each cut like art, but also moves along quickly. Recently he has been booked when I can get my hair cut and have had it done by Leaf, Danny, and Cassi. They are also excellent and ensure you get the cut you wanted. Just a great and reliable place over all! Oh yeah, they also give out a complimentary beer or water :) Games for the kids too if they came along. Love CHOP Niceville!

Cassie was phenomenal. I’ve never, ever, had another person shave my face. The haircut is great. The shave was outstanding. In her own words, she took my “shavinity”. I highly encourage a visit to Chop. World class treatment.

Im the type that can be a bit picky with who cuts my hair, but Courtney has consistently done an amazing job each time! Even if shes booked out a bit, Ill wait whatever time frame I need to in order to ensure I have a great haircut! With that said, the entire shop seems to have very good Barbers. If I had to have someone else cut my hair, this would still be the first place Id attempt it, by far!

Great service, great haircut, and really good prices. Courtney was very professional and cut my hair exactly the way I asked. Great location for the shop too. Before chops I had to drive nearly 30mins to fine a barber that could cut African American hair, and their prices were through the roof. But Chops is just 10 mins away and the prices are great!
